Very clean and large room with enough space for the kids to play. We received a lot of free drinking water aswell which was really awesome. The room had 2 rooms which were connected by a door and each room had its own AC. Sadly, the safe was already locked when we arrived so we couldn't keep our things inside.

Really great place to be out of the madness. We stayed at the Royal River Kwai which was stunning. It was quiet, there was bird song. We took a river tour and went to an elephant sanctuary where we fed the elephants after helping them wash in the river and walking with them in the jungle. We didn't have enough time to do the train trip too and the main town area looked fun to check out - which we didn't have time to do either. We stayed 3 days here - I would recommend staying 5 or more - especially if you want to have days where you do nothing.

Great to visit such an important wartime location and experience just a tiny bit of what many prisoners of war had to endure. As with all sites like this, it’s not somewhere you go for fun, but it’s an important part of history and keeps the memory alive

Kanchanaburi was a fun place to stay for two nights.
Kanchanaburi was a fun place to stay for two nights. Erawan waterfall was definitely worth a visit. I was there in early March and other waterfalls in the area I was told might not be worth the trip due to having less water. Erawan has much less water this time of year than the rainy season, but it was still a very beautiful place to visit. I enjoyed the railroad museum and seeing the bridge over the river Kwai. There are good food and coffee options in Kanchanaburi and the train from Bangkok was a fun (but hot) experience.

Fantastic city to expand your knowledge of WWII. The Bridge.
Fantastic city to expand your knowledge of WWII. The Bridge. Thai-Burma Railway Museum (don't waste your time with any of the others). Commonwealth graves immaculately maintained. Hellfire Pass an hour away (watch The Railway Man before you go). Also great golf.

We loved a 2 days stay at ElephantsWorld!!!
We loved a 2 days stay at ElephantsWorld!!! That was the most incredible experinece so far in my life. The elephants are not chained, they walk around on their own, and after the afternoon visits leave the place you can stay alone with them.
We also loved Erawan Falls a lot! And of course you go to see the River Kwai Bridge. But we could have stayed for a week or more in the region - it is beautiful!

Apart from the attraction of the Commonwealth War Graves(...
Apart from the attraction of the Commonwealth War Graves(including many Dutch graves), the Bridge over the River Kwai and the War Museums, it is quite a large town, but without much to attract the average tourist. It is the gateway to the surrounding area with lovely countryside and other War memorials etc. But it really is not a holiday town.
the whole place is amazing! the location right by the river. happy hour to watch the sun set every evening was perfect. the staff especially Arm was amazing. They go above and beyond! We arranged a boat to pick us up from
hotel steps on river and go out for the day. Very reasonable prices. We will definitely return when we come back to Kanchinaburi. The bridge is a 7 minute walk away, we are at the floating restaurant under the bridge every evening. Amazing Thai food for good price. We loved everything about our stay.
Stay in the heart of nature, plants and trees. The hotel is small but makes you feel at home. There is not much to do here unless living a simple life. If you want to escape city life and chaos, here is a place you can relax, read a book, sip a coffee, talking to the cats and owner. The location is a bit inside of the alley (Soi) and too small for the car. The parking space is big enough but you will need guidance from the owner. Perfect stay!
Property was right in a busy street with nice restaurants, street food and bars but you couldn’t hear anything once in the hotel.
Pool and the garden are really nice. Gorgeous sunset!
The design of the room and the hotel in general is really nice as well.
I stayed somewhere else in Kanchanaburi before going here and really wished I’d have spent my entire time in this hotel instead.
They provide shuttles if you ask.
Location -great near river kwai ,bridge and kanchanaburi station for going to wang pho (death railway wooden bridge)
Room basic. No kettle or hairdryer but ok as I brought my own. Stayed on floating room on the river.
Staff - friendly,welcoming and helpful
Restaurant at the place - food was brilliant( Thai green curry).
A relaxing place to enjoy a nice meal and have drinks after a busy place sightseeing.
A very nice and cozy place in the beautiful city of Kanchanaburi, close to the bridge and with very helpful and friendly staff. Our Villa was nice and clean and the housekeepers did an excellent job. I was so unlucky to forget my wallet at the resort, but the honest staff kept it safe for me to come back and pick it up again. I will definately come back to this quiet and beautiful place.
Great location. Very close to the Kwai bridge. Clean room, nice bathroom with a big mirror and hairdryer. New bottles of water every day in the fridge. Big and clean pool. I recommend renting a bike to have access to other parts of the city. There are tuktuks and taxis close to the hotel. There are markets close to the hotel. I liked it so much that I booked another stay here.
Perfect to stay away from city but not more than 2 nights. Very good THAI FOOD and very polite staff. This hotel is touching the river so you can do water sports easy. swimming pool is on the edge of the river . very clean and small hotel but worth to visit and specially sun rise and sun set is enjoyable.
Large room with balcony with distant mountain views. The whole hotel has a spacious feel.
Good sized swimming pool. Pleasant sitting area around the pool.
Old fashioned breakfast area with plentiful breakfasts.
Helpful staff, as always in hotels in Thailand.
The location is great, quiet and close to the downtown, and not far from the night market. The apartment was 3 floors, but makes you feel like home. I enjoyed staying there'd will definitely choose this hotel for my next visit.
Great location near River Kwai bridge and other historical places . Pool was nice bonus after day of site seeing . Helpful staff . Walkable to good restaurants. Hotel is very nice . Price/ value was excellent .
Asleep hostel is in a great location in Kanchanaburi, right next to the night market giving you endless local food to try and somewhat in the middle of the rest of the city as it spreads out in both directions.
