I was in Koper for a conference at the University and this hostel was ideal for a working trip. Clean, good facilities, all in full working order, and very comfortable and quiet - not a rowdy place at all when I was there in March.
There's a kitchen to make breakfast or a cafe attached to the hostel, and Koper is full of bakeries and nice places to eat. The hostel is super central in Koper's very beautiful old town, ideal for exploring!

But the best was the owner of the apartment, Tjasa,very kind and always ready to help us for everything. We asked to help us with trains and buses and she found all options.That was very helpful for us,so I must say thank to Tjasa one more time.

Loevly old part town of city, and long promenade is perfect to walk and watch sunsets. Mornarček fish house was a good place to have sea food, a bit steep price but good portions. Koper is a very nice place where you can find various inns, shops, pastry shops... You can also find beautiful views and walking paths. I recommend a hike from Koper to Izola along a well-maintained walking path. It is also a very pet-friendly place, although you have to pay attention to the signs where pets are not allowed to relieve themselves.

A wonderful medieval town with so many of the original...
A wonderful medieval town with so many of the original buildings (Venetian style architeture) intact. Clean and tidy except for lots of graffiti which didn't matter because it was all in Slovenian! Very little crime I was told and people seemed to leave phones cameras beside them without worrying Everything in the old town within easy walking distance but be careful of uneven paving stones if you are a bit wobbly on your feet. Cafe Loggia in main square good place for coffee and toasties. Lots of fresh fish in restaurants and Slovenian traditional food too. Lots of varieties of ice cream but be aware that their "scoops" are twice as big as here. Try the orange wine it's lovely (but not made from oranges as I thought at first). Buy "flowers of salt" made in salt pans the traditional way near Piran (another lovely town to visit nearby) Bikes to rent (including electric) in many outlets in town.

Manager Maja is very attentive and ensures everything is clean, which is my top priority. I drive to the house, drop off my luggage, buy a parking permit for €3/day, and park my car at Spar, which is nearby, about a 5-minute walk away. The apartment is in the center of the old town, and I have everything within walking distance. I only need the car if I leave Koper.

Her husband, her son and her daughter were so kind. I wouldn't ask for more beyond what they have given. The apartment was so bright and spacious, the view from the balcony on a morning coffee is so stunning. Above all I Learnt few words in Slovenian with them :) I love everything about the apartment and the host.

Location is out of town Koper in Bertoki, but for us it wasn't a problem, especially cause there were a grocery, a restaurant (gostilna) and a bus stop just 100 meters from the appartment. A one-way bus ticket to Koper costs just 80 cents.
