As long as you adjust your expectations to that of a camp site rather than a hotel, it will most definately be to your satisfaction. A pity that they closed down the restaurant, as it was a bit of a hassle having to buy or cook dinner after a long day in Astrid Lindgrens world, but take away pizza on the porch of the hut was a good and peaceful option!

An excellent location to explore Vimmerby and surroundings. Maria, the host, was quick to respond to our request.

There were numerous Swedish families that came to stay here with their very well-behaved children. At night it was very quiet so sleep was undisturbed.
