This experience definitwly made us feel as though we time warped to the 80s!
One room balcony had the view of the city and mountains but our other room had a view of other people rooms which made it unpleasant to open the curtains.
The rooms and hotel are very clean .

There are things to do in this area, be sure to get informed before going, to see what would be attractive to you. For me, the proximity to some very nice mountain trails was the deciding factor, but for other people it's just relaxation and treatment facilities and things like that. You can enjoy restaurants and pools and there is a river ferry service available. The whole Calimanesti-Caciulata area is rather clean and well maintained, compared to other similar places.
