An undiscovered gem of a city at the doorstep of the Carpathian Mountains. Interesting on its own, but also great as a springboard for the explorations of the surrounding mountains, cities, castles, and fortified villages.

We went there to visit family.
We went there to visit family. Otherwise mot much to do or see( sorry). The whole city was dug up to re-do the road structure , so a nightmare to travel both by foot or car( done both).
But you can find cheap, diverse, very tasty food in the city “ pe pietonala” ( as local people call the heart of the city)

The city is very nice and clean, nice friendly people, i enjoyed taking strolls in the municipal park , and in the center is very nice in the evening, very lively.
I ate at Crama Veche in the municipal park, i highly recommend it, very good food, a lot of traditional dishes ( the sausages are amazing - sold by half/1 meter ).
Around the city there are some nice places to visit if you like nature- lacul Colibita. Also 15 km from Bistrita you can find a shooting range which i personally loved.

The location on the maps is not up to date, there is a bad smell in the hotel, the noise of the doors was very strong, at breakfast you did not have too many choices, the beds did not look clean, the bathroom light had a sensor that did not detect you, and the light often stops
The apartment is small but the design interior is extraordinary. The designer was a genius. Everything looks aired and it is fully functional. You have a washing machine and a dishwasher machine a balcony and two desks where you can write or read. The furniture is a combination of metal wood and stone and it is quite breathtaking. There is a public parking space quite close to the apartment and it is close to the city center less than 10 minutes on foot. Definitely the apartment to choose if you want to see Bistrița with maximum two children.
The hotel looks impressive and a substantial investment in a quiet city i.e. Bistrița. The rooms are quite big, and some of them have balconies (the ones in the back). The furniture is good quality, old-school. A big desk is there for your work-in-the-room needs. The bed is comfortable and big enough. The elevator is also impressive and provides access to the underground parking. There is also an outside parking. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff from the restaurant is kind and helpful.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Bistrita City .Very nice and big room .Very clean room with all the bathroom essentials ( soap, shampoo, hair dryer ,) .
Good breakfast included in price .
A suggestion for the management is to provide slippers for the guests as it is expected from a 4 star hotel .
Another suggestion is to change the breakfast time up to 11 am as not everyone is an early bird .
very nice situated, close to the city Center. when we arrived, there were some poles to block the parking places as for the hotel clients, and I wanted to move one and one of the staff moved it for me, welcoming us.
the room we stayed was a bit hot, the ac might have been broken and they immediately changed the room.
Nice rooms with old furniture, but many spaces for living. Possible accommodation with dogs. Big parking. Amazing personal in restaurant. Very tasty mamaliga with cheese and mici. Good place for living with dogs, when you arrive on dog shows in Bistrita!

The room was clean and spacious. Large spacious and clean bathrooms. Nice shower. Stood there for a night as we past by. Large parking in front of the hotel. Good value for the money.
The property is located in a quiet part of Bistrita and it’s very luxurious.
The owner was very helpful and recommended a very good restaurant to us to order food from.
English House was unlike any other hotel experience we have had before. Yes, it was clean and quiet with even a massage chair in the room. Well worth the money.
