Denisa's Lodge has an exceptionally beautiful location but is easily accessible by car and accessible without any walking from the car. Great for our older parents to enjoy the mountains without getting tired. Also the road is in great condition and easy to drive on. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the facilities were perfectly clean and met all our needs. Everything was very new in our rooms: beds, linens, towels, bathrooms, and fixtures. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and very new. The host kindly upgraded us to a larger room with a separate bed for our son.

I loved the experience in this place mostly because of the stunning views. Its up in the mountains with gorgeous surroundings, very friendly and helpful host. She gave us whatever we needed. U can take advantage of the nature and of the bbq place. We had a lovely rustic countryside experience, drinking fresh milk from the cow 😁 and make a good bbq with the woods the host gave us. I recommend, especially if u want to rent the whole cabin.

For a winter vacation, the first thing you notice is the cozy warmth throughout the entire cabin! The nature in the back, the stream passing through the property... Very nice, helpful and friendly landlady! We even made friends with all the stray dogs visiting us :).

Arieseni is one of my darling ski resorts, since my youth, when it was just a village with a snowy hill closeby. Today is a tourist destination in Transylvania and Apuseni Mountains, a hub for both day trips or weklong backpacking hikes. There are caves and canyons to visit, horseback rides, steam train adventures and just breathtaking beauty landscapes.
There are plenty of family restaurants (if you are looking for a McDonalds, you're in the wrong place), with delicious local food (try the trout, the polenta or the thick gulash soup). Visit the unique caves of Scarisoara (the world biggest ice cave) or Bears Cave, where 141 cave bears died 17000 years ago) or ride the vintage steam train along the Aries Valley.

On the positive side: It is quiet and has some nice places to walk to. Such as waterfaals.
On the negative side: It has no pretty spots (in the village). a very limited grocery store. it is not actually in the Apuseni park...

Great for sightseeing and exploring nature.
Great for sightseeing and exploring nature. There are lots of roads which will lead you to places where you have a great view along the hills and mountains. Highly recommended if you want to go hiking or just exploring.
This place is amazing! We werw a couple trying to sing off of every days, but we surely will go back in the same setup and also with friends. The place is equiped with cosy and warm rooms, but there are big living areas for having some fun with larger groups. Also you can spend the afternoon in warm water watching the hill. Booking says that there's noting around Arieseni. Don't beleive it. We were in an off season, when ski season is over and summer one didn't started yet, and we had many things to do. So go and visit this place!
A new and modern hotel with a great family that runs it and makes every effort to make your stay perfect. Breakfast is great and the hotel is close to many attractions in the Apuseni mountains. There are also possibilities to eat at the hotel in the evening and they have great coffee. The owner gives great tips for hiking and visiting the Apuseni attractions. The hotel is situated close to many Attractions.
The amazing location, with the water channel outside.
Quiet beautiful area, we hiked from the hotel to a lovely waterfall.
The hotel has an amazing kitchen staff, the food at the hotel was best food during our entire week.
The room is new, has been renovated and is a clean hotel. At the reception we were greeted by beautiful and friendly people. The low price and the good services are worth coming here again.
If you are looking for an authentic experience in romanian countryside, this place is ideal for you. It is not a 4star hotel, but the house is well equipped and nicely furnished
