The location was lovely, the mountain views from the pool were stunning, and the grounds were overall look and feel of the hotel were all really good. Most of the staff were quite helpful and friendly, but the service, particularily in the dining area, was average at best.

The Museum of Music & Instuments of the Indian Ocean is not...
The Museum of Music & Instuments of the Indian Ocean is not to be missed! Maison Folio is also worth a visit to see both the house and beautiful garden. We ate dinner at Chez Alice - best to pre-book as it is popular. We had the plat du jour for 22 Euros and were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the food. It would have been better to stay at least 2 nights in Salazie and done some walking in the surrounds.

Alice speaks perfect English. The house is on a small hill and you have a nice view (you can even see waterfalls). You have a lot of space to spread out. The terrace on both sides is also very large. The small towns of Salazie and Hell Bourg are not far from here. We felt very good and had a great time! On the top of it there was a unbelievable rainbow when we arrived.BeateAustria

Nesting birds, farmland, palmtrees, mountains and a very well kept garden with flowers everywhere! The lady of the house keeps the property in an excellent state and everything is as clean as in a 5 star hotel. Furthermore, she is very attentive and serves an epic breakfast, directs you to the few restaurants around and the property is very close to hiking trails that go into Mafate.

Amazing view on the surrounding mountains. Breakfast outside in the sun was just awesome. All highlights of Salazie are easy to reach. And really worth mentioning are the incredibly nice hosts who answered every question and request and made you feel really welcome!
