Everything! Beautifully decorated, clean, bright, lovely staff and wonderful breakfast. We liked it so much we came back for another night for our rest day and the owner was wonderful about accommodating us too. I think it ties for one of our favourite places to stay on the Fisherman’s Trail too.
Cantinho da Avó offers accommodations in Vila do Bispo, 5.2 miles from Santo António Golf Course and 9.3 miles from Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park.

Great little apartment with everything we needed! Set a little ways on the edge of town so it felt more quiet. We appreciated having access to a washing machines though we could have used some basic instructions. The settings on the machine were unclear, but maybe we are just not familiar with machines made for European users.

Short walk and you have all you need for a one week stay, using Vila do Bispo to explore the impressive south western region of Portugal, especially Ingenia beach. We luved Eugenia at Restaurant Convivio, the fresh foods market and incredible range at Lidl supermarket. Evening village strolls and joining a local party at the local cultural hall, completed a memorable stay

Small town in an ideal location to explore the beaches and coastline of western algarve. Not too overrun by tourists like places like Sagres, still feels like a charming Portugese small town. Has large supermarkets too and a market for convenience. Could do with a few more restaurants and cafes though as there isn't much choice for eating out - there are a few good fish restaurants and a nice Pizza place but not much else.

Very nice small village, very well located with access to several very nice beaches, max 20 minutes away by car, either in the south coast or in the southwest, ideal for surfing. Very good restaurants in town and nearby. Ideal for nature lovers and birdwatchers and on top of that, its not crowded at all!

Vila Do Bispo is a nice place to stay for a few days and a great base for touring the local beaches. The only downside to our stay was that it was very quiet during the day and evenings when we went with very few restaurants or bars to grab a quick drink.
We ate at Eira Do Mel which was very tasty and if you like vegetarian food, try Pisco.
Convenient location in the center of Vila do Bispo, near shops, restaurants, mercado, and auto-laundry. We were hiking the Rota Vicentina and it was close to trail and easy to find. Room was very pleasant, good beds & shower, and cute little private patio w/ access to pool & courtyard. It was a great place to dry out damp packs & jackets:) Very quiet at night. It's a classic older building renovated into private rooms with kitchen, common areas, beautiful courtyard and a small pool
The place is near Sagres and not too far from Lagos which are very beautiful cities in the Algarve in Portugal. We liked especially the modern architecture of the building and that everything is very new and clean. Our accommodation was great as a couple. If you like to surf in the area this place is also very recommended. You can also find lovely restaurants nearby.
Don't forget to have a rental car if you want to go there. You also have a parking spot on the area which is gated.
Very friendly staff, we felt at home. Thank you for everything! The beds are super comfortable!! There is a nice shared kitchen to cook and eat. Fridge is organized so you have a drawer just for you. Lidl supermarket is just 5 min away by car. The place is perfect to relax, enjoy the views and the stars at night. Perfect location: very close to vila do bispo village and cordoama, castelejo and ponta ruiva beaches. Sagres is only 10 min away. I Will Come back for sure.
The property is right on the Rota Vicentina trail which is convenient despite it is about 2,5 kms before Vila do Bispo. I very much enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. José is a kind host, he even offered to drive me to town. The house and the room is nicely decorated. The private bathroom has a nice shower with great hot water and comes with shower gel / shampoo and multiple towels. In the fully equipped kitchen you can cook anything.
After a long hike this hotel took care of all of our needs! We were able to use the pool, get a massage and get all of our hiking clothes laundered. The village hotel was central and very comfortable with helpful staff. The breakfast had a good selection and it was close to the trail. Not many options to dine, we chose a Portuguese place and it was ok, a little greasy but good value.
This was unanimously our favorite stay on the Rota Vicentina (4 gals walking together). Everything about it was gorgeous. Pristine rooms. Decor is lovely. Wonderful dinner recommendations. Incredible breakfast!! Seriously SO MUCH CHOICE at breakfast, more than anywhere else. I would pass through Vila do Bispo just to stay here again. ;)
Remember you are going to a rural part of Portugal, this is a countryside accommodation. Yet, it has everything you need: comfy rooms, Wi-Fi, hot water, a shared kitchen, etc. Our room had private bathroom too. Parking is easy, and everything in the south-west of Portugal is nearby. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
It's a very wonderful boutique hotel with pretty sitting areas in the garden. The property offers free drinking water and coffee as well. The interior designing is very suave and common areas have good vibes. They were kind enough to agree to store my luggage for an extra day as well before my arrival.
Super nice accommodation, nice and clean room with a kitchen for sharing. The kitchen was very well equipped. The accommodation had a nice outdoor sitting area. Staff was very nice and friendly. Location is good. I would always recommend this accommodation to everyone going to Vila do Bispo!
Perfect location, you can walk everywhere in Vila do Bispo, and also very near from Raposeira.
Reasonable priced comparing to what is on the market here.
Owner was very accomodating and flexible. I booked 1 night and ended up staying 3... Because it felt like home!
Cute little house in the centre of Vila do Bispo. All you need is there. As a hiker i really appreciated the washing machine with a 15 min program.
Easy self check in. Brand clean. Quick and helpful contact with the owner by bookings messenger service.
Vila do Bispo is a small and charming town. The hotel is just far enough from the highway and the main square to be quiet, and close enough to have everything within a three-minute walk. The breakfast was very satisfying.
We loved staying in the Appartment! It was super comfortable, very cozy, great facilities and a lovely host!
We would love to stay here again!
Vila do Bispo is super close to many beautiful beaches!
The breakfast was among the best 5 that we've had in six weeks in Portugal.
But there was a VERY DISTINCT and unpleasant odour of sewer gas coming from the bathroom.
Breakfast was the best we had in Portugal! João was so kind an helpful. We hope we are lucky enough to come back here. It is very small and intimate place.
