This was a fun and very unique experience. The refurbished windmill was very nicely decorated and had a surprising amount of amenities: refrigerator, stovetop, coffeemaker, toaster and 2 TVs. The bed was comfortable was hot without delay. There were other windmills on the ridge, but we had the location to ourselves. We could watch a nice sunrise over the valley!

This charming house has the perfect mix of modern and rustic. All the comfort and some design elements of our modern time are mingling with the appeal of an older time, activating your imagination and making you wonder how one would use different areas of the room for work, for reading, for relaxing etc. You walk out of the house and right across the street there is a pastelaria/padaria. Many little services in walking distance, markets in a few minutes away.

Spacious and comfortable. Lovely furnishings—like being in someone’s home. Nice flow of air through windows so never too warm. House is surrounded by beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers—all very well kept. A very good breakfast was provided. There was a fully equipped kitchen for guests to share. We extended our stay by a day.
