The property is nice and clean, staff are great- they granted our request to serve our breakfast early because we had to leave for island hopping. They offer overflowing drinks, unlimited fruits in the morning and very good breakfast. Our family had a great time!

This hotel is aptly named - it really is a secret paradise! It's perfectly located to be within walking distance to the center of the town while also being a quiet haven that's not in the nitty gritty of everything. The pictures of the rooms really don't do them justice, they are incredibly nice, perfectly cleaned, and everything feels very new. They're also very spacious! The pool was fantastic too, and perhaps the best part of the whole hotel is how accommodating and wonderful the staff are. Do not miss staying here!

This is one of the best places I've stayed in the Philippines, for the balance between price and quality.
Service was excellent, the room was large and clean and comfortable, the price was excellent. Pool was spotless.
Location is fine. It's 3-5 mins on a scooter to get into the area with restaurants/dive shops, and they make it very easy rent one from them. They're also able to book airport transfer taxis etc.

Very quiet place but also very close to the Main Street. Nice breakfast options, Betsy and her staff were very friendly, free refill cold water. The rooms are really big, very clean and well equipped. We just had such good nights sleep as the bedroom itself doesn’t have a window, so no daylight which is quite exceptional in the Philippines, and no noise from the dogs or roosters! AC was super modern and quiet. We really loved our stay here!

It's definitely an area you'll want a motorbike for to make the most of your stay. Once you get out of town, the travel lightens up as you venture further south. We only had one full day to make the most of it and we were able to see two different waterfalls that were a little over 90 minutes away from Moalboal. We traveled here from Siargo Island, so the pace and hustle-culture of the locals was MUCH higher than we were used to. It's not a huge deal breaker, but hanging at White Beach turned into the same vendors coming by at least three times each within an hour span to ask us if we wanted the same thing they were pitching. Again, to be expected being in a more touristy area, but I give it a knock since for some that can be annoying. The main thing here was the waterfalls and snorkeling and those things were so worth it, so I'd say if you're a diver, down for snorkeling or up for some adventures with the waterfalls (i.e. jumps) than this place will give you all the great memories.

To get the best out of Moalboal you have to adjust to tropics-time and get up early; fantastic experiences you’ll remember forever, but a NORMAL day starts at 5am, an early one at 3am. Then an early supper while you watch the astonishing sunset from the hotel restaurant (the best in the town) at 5:30, and in bed for 9 or 10.

MoalBoal is a good mix of beach, swimming/diving, bars and laid back Philippino culture. You can eat Philippino, Greek, US, UK, and a variety of food. This is not a 5-star location for facilities, but it is outstanding value and welcoming for divers, and swimmers and has a relaxed vibe. There is a good mix of foreigners/visitors and Cebu locals... good for people-watching. I genuinely like this resort because I am not put off by the amenities. If you are looking for a 5-star experience... stay in a 5-star resort, not here. If you are looking for adventure from canyoneering (nearby) to diving or just swimming among shoals of fish and seeing turtles... then MoalBoal is for you.

There's a bit of everything here for most people, depending on what you're looking for. The foreigner area is a bit away (3 km) from the main highway. There are lots of restaurants and bars, dive shops and hostels there.
There are plenty of daytime activities, but you may need to sign up for a group van the day before. I did and recommend the big canyoneering trip where you jump off short cliffs into pools of clean water (15 m is the highest, most are like 3-8 meters). You'll need water shoes and a heavy duty waterproof bag for your phone (no ziploc bags, they won't work). You will be swimming in one of the cleanest rivers with lots of water falls (ends up at Kawasan Falls) and there's volcanic rock formations and great views.
I didn't do the whale shark viewing or the island jumping, but there are plenty of choices that are family friendly. At night time there's one or two smaller discos that are open late.
I wouldn't highly recommend this area for solo travelers, it's more for couples and families and groups of friends.
You should definitely rent a motorscooter if you want to see all the surrounding attractions on your own schedule, otherwise you'll be paying for a lot of trike rides or waiting on group vans.
Gas is pretty cheap, and I only spent a couple hundred pesos on gas over three days to see pretty much everything (even Osemena Peak). Scooter rental is 350-500 pesos per day.

I love Moalboal!
I love Moalboal! Amazing place for snorkelling, great outdoors activities - the canyoneering was one of my highlights of the Phillipines! Everyone should go to Moalboal while in the Phillipines if they can!

Nice place, nice beaches, snorkeling is good.
Nice place, nice beaches, snorkeling is good. The panagsama beach is a bit too crowded. At night at the weekend very crowded, crazy motorbikers driving fast through the streets, be careful. People are nice and helpful.
Perfect location in Moalboal. 5 minute walk down to the beach to see the sardines! Less than a 10 minute walk to the Main Street where there was plenty of shops and restaurants. All of the staff were amazing and so helpful! Breakfast offered at an extra small cost (was delicious, definitely recommend!!) Staff arranged the canyoneering trip for us which ran smoothly from pick up to drop off and also arranged tricycle for us to the bus stop on check out. Beautiful view from the communal balcony! Highly recommend staying here :-)
Absolutely Everything! My girlfriend and I were so upset that this was fully booked for the week, we wanted to stay longer. Every time we passed we gave heart signs
- the best costumer service, they make sure everything you need is there for you and more
- the room is so comfortable
- the outside kitchen to use was so useful every night and even midnight eating
- has solar so we never experience brown out
- just outside of town and 3 mins from beach great location (trust me, the beach side hotels are not it)
Great location, loved the beachy town of Moalboal - short walk to bars/restaurants and where you can see the sardine run. (If you are doing this without a tour, you can go in near chilli bar - plenty of places let you rent snorkel gear)
We were lucky enough to see two sea turtles in the sea right by the hotel! The hotel lend snorkel equipment for free for use in the sea by the hotel, which was a nice touch.
The room was a great size, massive bed too which was really comfy. Air con worked fab.
The property is on a quiet street with direct access to the beach and away from crowds.
Ideal if you are after the sardine run or visit pescador island (unlike white beach which is further up north)
The view from breakfast is fantastic (just like the photos)
Free home made breakfast
Lodge has a family / home vibe to it
Plenty of Restaurants and bars 10-15 min walk
Friendly staff and owners who helped us arrange activities and private transport back to Cebu airport
Hidden gem ! Got to Moalboal early via bus then trike from Cebu. Staff allowed me to check-in earlier (free of charge). They can also organize a canyoneering tour at Kawasan falls for 2000 pesos per person (round trip from hostel, guide, gear and entrance fee)
Large room + bathroom with good shower pressure & fairly new AC unit.
Perfect/quiet location, 1 min walk from the main road (shops, restaurants). 5 min walk to the beach (sardine run)
I love this resort so much. the location is great If you want to relax after the long day activities. Tricycle to white beach 15 min and panagsama beach less than 10 min. We book sea-view room for 5 nights. And the view from the room was marvellous. you can see the blue water just from your bed. I really love breakfast mix of both local and western . I love how they take care of the plants and so many beautiful flowers. Staff are very welcoming.
Affordable price.
Very social hotel.
Shower and toilet room were always kept clean.
Bed was wide.
There were privacy curtains.
Each occupant had their own lamp and socket.
Great location. Walking distance to everywhere.
Note: If you’re sensitive to noise, this hostel is not for you. Hostel parties last until midnight every night. People go back to the hostel drunk which means they can be quite loud and wake you up.
Very pleasant staff. it's a family hotel where everyone has a smile on their face. Always a receptionist on hand
Small but perfectly sufficient sized pool, the kids loved it, it was their favorite
Easy to get a tricycle from the hotel to get around
Mini-bar prices are very reasonable, sometimes cheaper than in the surrounding sari sari shops
Only 10-minute walk to restaurants and beach
The Nipa Hit is homey and relaxing. This place is away from busy Panagsama, just 10mins tricycle ride. This place os just 3mins away from white beach. Their garden is refreshing as well. They offer snorkling to Moalboal at a reasonable cost. They also offer canyoneering and whale shark viewing package. This place is high recommended if ypu want to enjoy and peaceful environment.
The most comfortable apartments in the Moalboal for the affordable cost. The only thing you need is rent the bike and then enjoy, because the location is not really close to the beach. But for its price it is the best option,
With amazing owners and service. Rooms are comfortable and have everything what is needed (the stuff in the room is new and good working)
We took a bus from Cebu in the morning to go to the Kaswan falls when we had to stay in Mobohol for a night emergency situation. we choose a cheap option. 500 PHP/night room, got what I paid for. The girl, the owner was very helpful and kind. She was such a hardworking girl. It is a bamboo cottage, a cheap place with a fan, not the most comfortable but doable.
The location was a perfectly peaceful middle ground between the busier Panagsama and White beaches - both could be accessed in around 5-10 min on a scooter. We'd wake each morning and swim out to the reef shelf to be greeted by coral, fish and turtles and have cold drinks and good meals in the bar as the sunset...owners were amazing people too!
I like that the property was a beachfront one. I like the people serving at the hotel were awesome. The food tasted pretty good too. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was nice and pillows too. There are enough plug points. The resort had a nice garden and outdoor furniture. Free breakfast was good too.
We stayed at Cebu Seaview Dive Resort for 4 nights (5 days). The hotel and especially the kindness of the staff was exceptional! The location is good, there is a nice swimming pool and easy access to the beach. We rent a motorbike for 2 days, so it was easier for us to visit MoalBoal.
We loved Beyond Island! The hotel is in the perfect location, the facilities were just what you need! The breakfast was the best we had in Moalboal and for the cheapest price! The staff were incredible - big shout out to Christina! 100% recommend staying here. Faye and Harry x
We love Harman Suites!! It exceeded our expectations when it comes to cleanliness, room size, bathroom, tools - electric kettle, mineral water, beach towel. It's the best hotel around Moalboal! We'll definitely go back with family and friends! :)
We loved the place!
+ very clean
+ spacious
+ very central (directly in the heart of moalboal, 1' by foot to the beach)
+ very friendly and welcoming local hosts that made us feel like home! 🫶🏽
Loved that it was on the beach and was great for snorkeling, a lot of sea life. the property had hammock which were awesome to relax on. It was maybe a 10 min walk from moalboal.
The location is just perfect. Is literally in the front of the beach where you can see the sardine runs, one of the highlights of Moalboal. The staff is really nice
