This is literally the cleanest motel I have ever stayed in - and I travel the world. It was clean, comfortable and perfectly maintained. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, the linens were excellent and the amenities were perfect for an overnight stay. Parking is right outside your door. Even in the rain it was perfect for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped to allow us to make a pasta dinner complete with garlic bread and a breakfast of French toast using the fresh farm eggs and milk along with the orange juice supplied that tasted like fresh squeezed. So delicious! We really appreciated that there was also a washer plus dryer to refresh our limited clothing supply! The house was spacious and comfortable. In nicer weather we would have enjoyed sitting out on the deck for our meals. It was close to the city but also was rural so very peaceful and private. Definitely an incredible bargain in today’s market. Thank you!!

What a quirky wee place. Loved learning about the history of the cottage. The eclectic collection of furniture/furnishings added to an interesting experience. The nearby Citadel cafe was super. Easy to drive into Wanganui to explore.
