Enjoyed a lovely walk around Picton and along the coastline. Did a fabulous half day morning boat trip cruising around Charlotte Sound which was great, and ate dinner at the Oxley Hotel, also very good.

Charming waterfront and very child friendly.
Charming waterfront and very child friendly. The pirate boat play area and splash pad is so nice for the little ones. We only walked around the centre up to the walkway bridge which present a marvelous view. As we are not trekkers, we only passed by Picton to proceed to Nelson from Wellington, and as overnight stop for the Interisland ferry back. There were many road closures when we visited. Perhaps next time, we will explore the surrounds.

A lovely little town with some fabulous walks.
A lovely little town with some fabulous walks. Stay a couple of days after getting off the ferry instead of just driving through. ( Although a little busy when a cruise ship arrived in port, but they are not there every day!)

we were only there overnight, we took an early morning Ferry. the motel was in a great location, we could walk around town and to our restaurant for an evening meal. the reception Lady was wonderfully helpful
he location of the hotel is excellent, but unfortunately, my experience there was terrible. Despite informing the hotel through Booking.com about our late arrival due to a ferry delay, no one was present to receive us upon our arrival. We found a notice outside the locked door with a contact number, but unfortunately, it was not reachable. As a result, my family and I were left stranded outside in the rain and cold weather. Despite my efforts to reach the hotel, I did not receive any notifications or messages from them at all.
Helpfulness of staff. especially when it appears I booked the wrong room due to my inferior compatibility with technology. When it became a bit impractical to move furniture to suit Suzanne just completely swapped us out into an apartment.Awesome view from the room and such a central location to town. Couldn't have asked for a better and more willing service. Thank you so much to your team for an excellent stay/break. Absolutely recommend Beachcomber Inn, Picton
Very happy with the stay.
I did arrive late on the first night and left early hours of the morning, as I only needed a pit stop to sleep before catching the ferry to Wellington - so didn’t really get to see too much during.
Great location as it’s right next door to Picton.
Had everything you needed and was good value for the money. Very clean and tidy.
Wilkes Way Villa was our favorite accommodation of our entire trip! The home is lovely and the apartment very spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts have made their living room, kitchen, laundry room, yard and outdoor patios very accessible. There were so many lovely personal touches! It was a 5 minute drive into Picton. 10++
It was centrally located, easy to walk anywhere in town, clean and tidy, with a pleasant feel about it. Parking is pretty tight with bigger cars, but the host helped organise everyone in and out, working together so we could get to our ferry without stress. Would return to stay in Picton longer!
The location is excellent. the Motel couldn't be closer to all that Picton offers. The weather was great and it meant I could entertain friends on the balcony where tables and chairs were provided. It was perfect. it looked very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Eva is super friendly and helped me plan my trip around Picton. She gave me information on the water taxis and which track to hike. Eva recommended a very good wine to try! If you have questions or need help planning your trip around Picton, Eva is your person!
We had a very brief, overnight stay when we got off of the Ferry on our way south. Room 15. Nice kitchenette. Very clean and comfortable. Mellow area to stay. Close to shopping, food and other resources, for Picton, but yeah, about that...
Basic comfortable motel close to the centre of Picton. 10 minutes’ walk from ferry terminal. Comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi signal. Has the benefit of 2-ring hob for anyone wanting to cook. Close to shops, restaurants, ATM and supermarkets.
Warm welcome from the operators of this quaint B&B, and super comfy bed. The room had most things you would expect for an overnight stay. It is not a 5* hotel, so don't expect a hot breakfast or amenities like iron and ironing board!
Love this hotel. Very spacious and private unit with a great bed and shower. There was a comfortable couch in the living area and 2 TVs, one in the bedroom area as well. Felt like luxury. Will stay there whenever I go through Picton
Good location for ferry. Room are simple but clean and relatively cheap. Facilities are good and the staff are pleasant. This is the first time we have stayed here but will be booking again when we next pass through Picton.
The receptionist was brilliant at her job, very enthusiastic, helpful and entertaining. Its a pity that other receptoionists at other motels/hotels did not come accross as happy as she was
Nikki, Gary and the other staff were great.
We enjoyed the Location, very Handy to Ferry and Shops.
Tombstone Motel, Lodge & Backpackers was a nice and peaceful place to stay.
