The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

The views of the lake and surrounding area are really stunning. It’s seemed a really peaceful place with just enough to do. Plenty of eating out places to choose from and many activities and places to visit. We will definitely be back.

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
Very Friendly Hosts that came round to welcome us. the property is a self contained annexe to the house and private with its own patio and BBQ. felt very homely after travelling round NZ staying in motor inns and hotels. property had good nformation about things to do in wanaka and books on NZ. it had a washing machine so we were able to do our laundry (at no extra cost). It had all the facilities you would want. was so good we wanted to stay for a few more days, but unfortunately it was already booked.
- It was very luxurious and everything (subtle lighting, beds, cookware, crockery, toiletries, bathrobes, wooden hangers, etc) was of very high quality.
- The room was serviced everyday which was a pleasant surprise
- Matt (at the front desk) was extremely helpful and cheerful. He made our stay all the more memorable.
- Close to Wanaka town centre & sights
The view was very nice. We could see the Wanaka lake from the room's balcony. The hotel seems to have all the facilities you need. We visited in February so it was a bit warm so the hotel provided us a fan which helped us at night. The bathroom had a heater which was nice for the cold morning.
Wanaka Fairway Motel we stay, clean, neat, well equip. Good kitchen utensils and generous coffee and tea packs. Good heating in all rooms and toilets. Location is easy to find. Motel is just a short walk to town center that have all the shops, eateries and groceries store.
Friendly staff.
We loved everything about the property. So comfortable, luxury amenities, fantastic location. The only thing to note is it is a meet and greet property to get the keys. So arrange to meet someone from the property management company to check in. No complains about this property!
The rural setting was beautiful. Waking up to SILENCE was FABULOUS !! Unlike staying in a motel or hotel .... there was no-one else to make noise or interrupt your stay .... THAT, made it all wonderful. We would stay again and recommend it to family and friends.
Great stay in Wanaka! The apartment was very private, behind main house, with well-equipped kitchen, laundry, and clean bedroom + bathroom. Felt cozy. Location within walking distance of the Wanaka tree and downtown restaurants.
good location 2 blocks back from the lake - this also meant it was a bit cheaper
had everything you'd expect from a self contained 1 brm apartment
friendly helpful staff member on reception
Luxury apartments with all the facilities you require for a family- laundry, clothes drier, large fridge/freezer. Heated floors were lovely and very comfortable beds. Close to wanaka.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Great location and short walk to nearly everything. The food at the Mexican restaurant attached to the Hotel was excellent. Great views over the lake.
Very spacious open plan apartment, great to live in, complete kitchen, laundry facilities and only 2 blocks walk until you find yourself in Wanaka town Center!
