It was all so wonderful. beautiful house, nice little room, well equipped kitchen area, living room, like being at home. The host so welcoming, friendly & helpful. I could even stay at the living area after checkout until the time my train went without additional cost (I offered to pay). I don't think I have experienced something like this before, and I travel a lot...

Lillehammer in winter is enchanting - snow covered, charming shops, lots of people around. Walking the town is very interesting - great views of the river valley, interesting architecture. If you like to cross country ski, this is the Mecca! hundreds of kilometers of ski trails nearby, groomed everyday. I was focused on skiing, then an afternoon walk. There are a couple worthy museums. The Olympic Park is a worthwhile climb above town. Otherwise not much entertainment or other sights.

An awesome place to walk into snowy nature.
An awesome place to walk into snowy nature. I wanted snow in the week before Christmas. I was afraid the town would only be suited for ski enthousiast. That was not the case. I made some nice walks into snowy nature in the forest and countryside in and around town. It wasn’t very crowded.
I came to Lillehammer for some old-fashioned Christmas atmosphere. That’s exactly what it provided. A snowy cute town with lights and music everywhere.
The town is dead though after 6 PM. All shops are closed, only restaurants are opened.

Olympic museum was closed ( probably because it was a Monday). I was very disappointed because that was our main reason for visiting. Town is very walkable. Nice to see Olympic ski jump area. Folk museum was closed due to season. Wish they had signs about Olympic venues. We did not know about luge and bobsled track, guessed where skating venue was. Museum should be open more or have resource info available.

Lillehammer is the perfect place for a little getaway if you fancy a stay in a smaller town (but despite the size, it has it all!). Best for it's magical atmosphere leading up to Christmas and for skiing, but lovely any time of year- especially if you're into wintersports, art or just meandering through one of the nicest towns in the country.

Lillehammer is a charming town. Always love to come back.
Lillehammer is a charming town. Always love to come back. Great for walking (even in the snow). Love Maihaugen and the Olympic museum (the Olympics are why I first decided to visit Lillehammer).
I've been there in summer and winter. Could not pick my favorite season. I think one should experience both!

Nice little town even in the autumn when there’s no skiing.
Nice little town even in the autumn when there’s no skiing. A couple of days worth of interesting sights and walks; culture + nature. What’s not to like?
We recommend the little pancake cafe on the Storgard pedestrian street
The hotel was clean and well equiped for the price. Breakfast very good. Common area very comforable with interesting works of art on the walls. Good location if you want to go Cross country skiing at Nordseter or Sjusjøen, one of the best places to go Nordic skiing. Also a short distance to Hafjell á well equiped Alpine skiing area. Beds were too soft
Great location for the centre of Lillehammer with its lively bars and shops. Nice room with massive comfortable pillows!! Evening meal included was a surprise and very different to the usual hotel buffet. Limited choice but very pleasant. Lots of different salads and meatballs. Breakfast has a great selection.
Everything was great, especially that we arrived in bad weather and I was booked for one night as a rest stop, but because of the weather we canceled all our reservations in other hotels and preferred to settle in this hotel with good treatment, cleanliness and beautiful atmosphere in the area
Great and friendly place to stay with kids, great base for X-Country Skiing with lovely winter walks right from the house. Supermarkets are close in driving distance. Public Bus station close for town explorations & one way hikes!
Cosy home with a grand view for winter & summer!
The hotel is a modern bright building. The lady manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated to walk into the town centre. The breakfast was superb. We had an evening meal which was also excellent. Great value for money. I highly recommend.
Cosy old hotel. Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast and dinner. Good SPA on the territory. Nice view. Good heating, could be turned up to much higher levels than we practically needed. Speedy wifi.
Special thanks for checking us in a bit earlier free of charge.
The staff at this hotel is really friendly and helpful. We arrived early hoping to store our bags and ski for the afternoon. They had a lovely room ready, let us check in early, and gave us tips for the afternoon's skiing. I would stay here again!
The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the charming main shopping street. There is free parking (limited spaces, but I always found one). The meals are good. Breakfast was especially good with a lot of variety. Dinner entrees were okay.
Clean, simple, you have towels and body wash, the bathroom is nice.
Breakfast is amazing, better than in many hotels i’ve stayed in. Staff is super super nice. They even let us leave our luggage there while we were exploring Lillehammer.
The accommodation was outstanding! Comfortable and quiet room! The breakfast, which was included, was excellent! The hotel is in a great location with easy walking access to activities and museums. Very friendly and helpful staff :)
It was a lovely cosy house on a real part of Lillehammers residential area. It’s nice to be amongst the local people and not in a hotel with other tourists. We were a few minutes walk to the town or the lake. Perfect
Clean facilities, well equipped modern kitchen, parking places close to the entrance, good location only 15 minutes away by car from Hafjell ski center. But on top of that a really nice and helpful owner
The hotel is centrally located, rooms were simple, quiet with very good beds. The bathroom was nice. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was good value.
