Beautiful location, stunning atmosphere. There’s so much space to walk the dogs around and the staff are so friendly. One of my favourite hotels I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was spot on too.

Great central location; welcoming staff; lovely big comfy bed; nice bar in evening.
Hotel Walram is a comfortable, modern and cosy hotel, housed in a typically marlstone building. The hotel is situated at a quiet square on the banks of the small river “De Geul”.

I traveled with family to visit the American Cemetery.
I traveled with family to visit the American Cemetery. My great great uncle was killed in World War II and is buried there. Dutch people from the surrounding area were so grateful to the Americans for liberating them, that they adopted the graves of American soldiers and have cared for them for over 75 years. The staff at the cemetery made our visit so special. They escorted us to the grave, and placed two flags there…one American and one from the Netherlands. That way we could take home a flag that had flown over his grave. They also rubbed sand in the white marble stone so that the name was more prominent for photos—and the sand came home from Omaha Beach (one of the D-Day landing sites). The cemetery is beautiful and serene and is a must-see.
Easy to find, responsive host, wonderfully quiet place to stay, close to Aachen, Maastricht and Margraten war cemetery, well-equipped kitchen, good wifi, nice outdoors area, 2 bathrooms which made our stay more comfortable.
