Delightful small town. Many cafes, bars and restaurants. Very good bike shop where you can rent ebikes etc. Well stocked supermarket. Very pretty canal-side walks and good place to start or finish a bike ride. There was a free music concert in the local park when we were there. Boat trips available as well as paddle boarding etc.

The restaurant was exceptional, the evening meals and breakfast wads superb, and we could not have been better pleased. The front desk staff were so helpful with their answers to our questions. The location is situated next to a railway station and travel to Amsterdam was very convenient.
