as a senior I find walking very difficult due to cobblestone streets & uneven sidewalks, but the city itself is vibrant, entertaining & colorful
food is fresh & delicious but found most restaurants serve "rare" steaks more like medium well

There are a host of places to stay in Puerto Vallarta.
There are a host of places to stay in Puerto Vallarta. But, they vary in quality.
I strongly recommend the the Hyatt Zeva, Puerto Vallarta. This is an all inclusive venue. The facilities are excellent, well maintained and beautiful!
I love an April visit. It is the end of the High Season. There are fewer guests, and the weather is very pleasant.

we have been coming here for over 25 years, PV has changed so much. It's very busy with many tourists, but you can still find a lot of good restaurants and the people are so friendly. I come from CA, so its an easy flight and sunny when it's winter at home. Great seafood, guacamole and margaritias!

Loved Boca and the hike to Las Animas!
Loved Boca and the hike to Las Animas! Loved being able to take the water taxi back, but sometimes felt pressured to take water taxi at other times. Did not like Zona Romantica area as it felt too much like a glorified Las Vegas! Puerto Vallarta zoo needs more funding for upkeep. Malecon was beautiful. Yelapa was beautiful. Bus was reasonable and accessible. Food in Mismaloya was the best deal for price paid! Food at Boca was good, but higher priced. Food in Zona Romantica was overrated.

The hotel looks nice but everything that could go wrong did.
The hotel looks nice but everything that could go wrong did. The receptionist was supposed to give me double oceanview and gave me a queen bed she was upset and gave me another room facing the pool. The plumbing is terrible no hot water for a day and the staff gives you alot of excuses with no results a manager is non existent you never talk to him. My daughters passport was stolen out the room she pick this hotel for her birthday and that happened, my second daughter went to the beach and got her iPhone stolen. The staff member reimburse me for 1 night stay and I went to the money exchange and (2) 200 hundred dollar bills pesos were fake she asked me who gave you that I told her the hotel and she apologized for them. So this the first and last trip here this trip was the worst!!👎🏾

It was a unique stay. An open air hotel on the beach. Ancient with no upgrades. It felt like traveling back in time. I loved the beautiful view and comfy bed. The bathroom was original from 100 years ago and was still intact…truly unique as most of the time charm is taken away with unnecessary remodels. It felt like staying in a haunted house on the beach. The breakfast room was lovely and yummy coffee! I also loved watching from above the quiet beach activities. It was a photographic dream of a location. Beautiful sunsets.
I loved the location near the beach and being at the end of a street blocked from thru traffic. The rooms were fantastic, very clean and loved hearing the ocean waves hitting the beach. The staff kept people out of the area at night so it was nice and quiet. There was a pool on the beach and some rooms had private pools. Several friends had rooms and the staff did not give us a hard time about going to the other rooms. They also supplied bottled water at the front desk.
This Hotel is right in the "romantic zone of PV. Everything that you want is within walking distance with the beach being 200 meters from the front door of the hotel. The rooftop pool is amazing and the view from the roof is great. The hotel also started having guests wear wristbands for safety. The final plus is the cost. It is cheaper than any hotel in the area for how clean and nice it is.
spotlessly clean and the staff are exceptional. I cannot express how much they make the hotel. They make great efforts to interact, learn the names of guests and help them relax. great location on the beach, pool area is great and no issue getting sun beds. love the inclusion of kayaking and yoga. great choice of drinks on all inclusive package.
The huge area where the hotel is located, with beautiful gardens and palm trees, and access to one of the best beaches in Puerto Vallarta city area. The brunch that was available in the restaurant, and in front of the beach. There is a mini-market conveniently located by the hotel entrance, so we did not need to get far for many everyday needs.
The location is absolutely excellent. Just a few blocks on the beach. A few blocks from the basilica. And a few blocks is zona romantica.
Plus the hotel is really clean. They treat you well and everything works perfectly.
The breakfast is unbelievably good. You go to the rooftop patio and they serve you.
the location was great! Right on the beach and lots of shopping nearby. The restaurants within the hotel were great but portions were super small and if you forgot to make reservations you were stuck with buffet. The sandwiches at the breeze bar on the beach were very tasty. The coffee was great.
Location on the Malecon can't be beat. We walked to everything. Los Muertos beach is a little far from the location, not what they said.. The administration staff took good care of us when we asked for anything but dont expect to get hotel service, they dont clean your rooms everyday.
The hotel was central for that part of Puerto Vallarta. Not mt favourite area but fine for a few days. Good restaurants are found on adjacent streets plus many places for great massages. The roof top pool was what drew me to the place. It was lovely. Small but warm.
Beautiful hotel and restaurants! We loved having breakfast at the casitas on the beach. Gorgeous pool and friendly staff. Ernesto helped us store our luggage for the day while we shopped. So courteous and professional. I will absolutely stay here again.
In terms of interior decoration this hotel has seen better days, but the staff were amazing and it was clean. Right on the beach. Great for families. I would recommend it without hesitation. The view from our room was stunning.
I really enjoyed snorkeling on the beach on the hotel grounds. I also enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel and the maid service was excellent! The staff were very helpful and kind as well. Overall, it was a great trip!
Gorgeous hotel right on the beach. Hotel is well maintained and furniture is modern. Staff is superb!
Location was perfect! Close enough to the center but far enough to leave all the craziness far from your room.
I love that this is a smaller All Inclusive hotel. The food is generally good with some variety. The staff are very friendly. Our room was spacious. Location is good and only about a 20 min walk to Centro
It is an old hotel, but it is right on the beach and near a lot of local dining. It is near the gay area. The staff is very friendly, especially if you laugh and try your limited spanish.
First time in Mexico and stop over in Puerta Vallarta. Wanted to stay somewhere a little cooler than the big resort hotels - and this place was PERFECT.
