    It's a small, quiet place.

It's a small, quiet place. All people we met were very friendly. Pretty basic stores to buy food. Mostly just snacks for sale. It's a beautiful place, but a lot of areas are covered with garbage and broken down houses. It seems a peaceful place. But we didn't see a policeman the whole time. We were told there is no municipal government there, everybody does essentially what they want (i.e. nobody bothers with permits for building, etc.) One long-term resident called it the "wild west." But that's why they liked it.
