The best location for exploring the canyon. The hotel is nice and rustic. Simple but comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! The staff were very nice and friendly. The dinner was okay. A bit overpriced and generic.

The view from the balcony is exactly as on the pictures, just amazing. The flat is very spacious and you will find every thing you need in the kitchen for cooking meals. One of the rooms also offers a view on the mountains. Wi-Fi is available and the host is quick to answer. There are some snacks available in the house for a small price (beers, sodas, chips etc).

Our stay was great. The apartment is spacious with a beautiful view and comfortable beds. The kitchen part is equipped quite well, the bathroom is big. The kittens outside were soo cute. The host is nice and hospitable. The location is perfect to go on a hiking trails. Thank you for the recommendation for the Treska restaurant. We enjoyed our meal there.

This apartment was fantastic! I appreciated lots of things about it:
1- modern & charming design
2- easy self check-in
3- free parking on-site (extra wide streets for our big van!)
4- peaceful location. 15 min walk to Skopje City Mall- great shops and food court, as well as 6 minutes walk to bus stop for center
5- host was amazing to communicate and answer any questions with a kind attitude
6- there is a lovely lobby area to enjoy on the street level of apartments- nice tables and chairs. It is quite charming!

the hotel location nice, but for all those who are going by the bus especially after dark, its a bit of a walk to the hotel and the way isn't very clear as there are no lights along the way.
hotel staff is very nice and helpful.
food: breakfast and drinks (especially the wine) is very good. but the dishes we ordered for our dinner were not great at all.
over all worth especially if u like hiking around, its good to stay overnight there. in case you just want to take a boat trip and go to the cave.. it takes just an hour max.

Matka Canyon is stunning and, if you like hiking, you could easily spend several days in the area. We had one and a half days (with 2 nights in the hotel on-site) - we were able to fit in a boat trip to the caves, kayaking in the canyon (fantastic, though I would have liked to have spent longer doing this) and walking. I would love to go again as the scenery is stunning and the air clean

I had the most magical time in Matka.
I had the most magical time in Matka. The hotel is considered by the locals to be too pricey (in comparison to accomodation options in Skopje) but is not at all in comparison to most hotels in western Europe. I am very happy I decided to stay the night, instead of just a day visit, although there is not too much to do I really loved the peace and serenity and the feel quite like no other in the evening once day guests had left. There are a few other places to eat and drink along the canyon path, there are many hiking trails and there is the bliss of simply sitting somewhere at the waters edge and enjoying the sheer beauty. Definitely worth the visit!
