All the seating areas. There were so many places to sit and relax. The peace and quiet. The landscaping. The hospitality was very good. I felt taken care of by the staff.
I had food poisoning the day prior (not from them, roadside orange juice) and they took care of me.
This authentic Moroccan guest house is set in the Ouarzazate province and features a traditional Berber design. Guests are invited to relax on the terrace, in the garden or in the lounge area.

With 20 years in the tourism industry, Ahmed's first hotel of his own reflects his years of experience. No detail is overlooked starting with Ahmed himself, who is a naturally warm, open, and friendly host, his well appointed and tastefully decorated rooms, his Instagram ready terrace, beautiful place settings, and delicious menu offerings. After many nights of tanjines, brochettes, and cous cous, his wife Fatima's special beef dish was a delicious and welcome alternative. Breakfast was very generous and delicious as well. Although an affordably priced guesthouse, it provides its guests with first class treatment with thoughtful details.
Very accommodating host. The only issue was the mattress, which was changed as soon as it was brought to the host's notice.
Meals were prepared by the lady of the house. Breakfast was included, evening meal was optional. Wifi was excellent. The hosts own palm and pomegranate orchards locally, and offered tours within his family's ownership and around the vast & historic Skoura oasis, with its many and varied casbahs.
There is a range of places to eat in Skoura, an interesting street market and good banking.

This was a bird-watching holiday and we chose Skoura because it was accessible to known birding sites to the west and the east. However, we discovered that Skoura, and Sidi Flah a few miles to the south, are brilliant birding and walking locations in their own right.

Scenic and interesting, with nice side trips to a gorge and a casbah. But in a first trip to Morocco where we wanted to see Fez, Marrakech & the desert, there wasn't much time to squeeze in more at Skoura.

The family was very nice and friendly.
The family was very nice and friendly. Very friendly personal, nice view, Eventhough we arrived late, they prepared us the whole dinner (soup, main and desert) which costs 9 eur per person. Breakfast was also delicious.

1- The food: we had the best dinner of our Morocco trip in the Sawadi Lodge. Everything was delicious, including the meal itself, desert, tea, coffee and drinks. The service was top notch- we even took a pic of our waiter Mansour. He is something else.
2- The service: not only during dinner- the host and the staff were on a mission to make sure that every minute was a joy.
3- Rooms: comfortable, pretty, authentic. The hotel grounds have character. There is an appealing swimming pool that we didn't use because of the season.
We found our best hotel in morocco this trip. The upgraded room was large and well equipped. Our host spoke good English and was very friendly and helpfull. The grounds of the hotel are nice with orange and pomegranate trees. Very tranquil. We had a very good dinner and breakfast.
Wifi worked, but was a bit weak at times. Good enough in most places.
As mentioned, easily the best place we stayed. Too bad we could only stay one night due to our schedule. We'll be back.
This hotel was absolutely fabulous. There was incredible attention to detail in everything. The room was absolutely beautiful and immaculately kept. Had an authentic and local feel with lovely design. The fireplace was already prepared for a fire perfectly with kindling and wood. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The grounds and views from the rooftop terrace were phenomenal. Highly recommend!!
At Kasbah Ait BenHadda you are treated as a king/queen. The hosts do everything to make you feel at home and they help you with everything you need. Our clothes we're washed and folded and we enjoyed a guided tour in the palmeraie with Abdul, which was provided by the Kasbah hosts. When we asked for a small lunch, we got more then we could ask for. It was our most welcoming stay at Morocco thusfar.
It was my nicest, best accommodation in Morocco, with the best dinner prepared by the host's wife Fatima on a beautiful terrace in the sunset. Breakfast in the garden pavilion the next morning was also divine. Thanks to Ahmed for undertaking the restoration of the old house and the 'revitalization' of the area. I will be happy to come back. Thank you Ahmed, Fatima, Sara, Yohn.
Mohamed the manager was such a iovely, funny, intelligent and helpful person! Wonderful place to relax and explore the palmeraie of Skoura. It hadn’t rained for the last 6 months and the region is suffering from the lack of water. Mohamed gave us lots of interesting info on Morocco, Ouarzazate région, Berbere culture and more. I will remember him as a friend.
Gorgeous Kasbah in the middle of the palmeraie in Skoura. Surrounded by an orchard of palm trees, pomegranate, orange and olive trees, inviting to lounge at the pool all day.
The interior design marries the historic Kasbah with a clean, modern chic.
The are locals who can tell more about the oasis and the palmeraie, or prepare authentic local food.
This hotel is exceptional. The owners are very friendly and the staff is wonderful. We have travelled extensively and the service here is among the top two or three places. It is not a super luxurious hotel but very beautiful and a true oasis. For people with young children it would be incredible. The food is superb.
Spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated place! Service was exceptional. We arrived during a sandstorm, so weren’t able to take advantage of a number of fun things to do in Skoura, but the staff was very welcoming and accommodating . It was a great place to take a break from a road trip.
The staff is very helpful and kind. If you ask something they will help you immediately. They e.g. helped us with getting a guided tour through the palmeries. It was one of the best Tours we had during our 20+ days stay in Morocco.
All the facilities are perfect. 10/10.
Simple, clean, quiet, uthentic, architecture with peaceful and relaxing olive garden in the heart of Skoura oasis. Close to the river far from any urban stress. The ovner Abdul is an amazing person and lots of bird species visit his garden. Birdwatching place.
What a lovely stay! We were welcomed very warmly by the family. The owner gave us a lot of great advice for our stay in Skoura and beyond. The rooms were comfortable and the food was great - with much of it sourced straight from the family's garden.
Very special place the hosts were so friendly and helpful and gave us tour of the area and their eco farm. Also the best couscous in Morocco!! Everything was very clean and well maintained. We hope to return one day :))
The lodge is situated in the middle of Palmeraie and is super peaceful. It is a real oasis of calm and luxury. The facilities are lovely, our room was beautifully furnished and the food was excellent. Staff were great!
Wonderful cousin in the oldest oaza in Morocco. Kazba is not a riad and we didn't expect that but it was really great experience with extremely friendly people.
It‘s a really beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff and delicous food. They even managed my complicated food allergies like no other hotel in Morocco.
