An exceptional location. Both views and serenity 😌 One of the best places we have stayed in a long time. The greenery, the sound of water, birds chirping along with fantastic views and a pool to relax. Rooms are comfortable and tidy. The owners mum a keen gardner personally overlooks the place and came to meet us . Thanks you gave us a memorable stay Only wish we had booked more days..... A must visit place

A beautiful hotel in a renovated colonial building, everything refined to perfection, great service and amazing food, prepared from their ecological plantation, even the coffee served with breakfast has a wonderful taste and aroma and comes from their plantation. A very nice manager full of kindness, elegance and class. All the staff pleased us. Interiors made of the highest quality materials, beautiful swimming pool with a view. Surrounded by nature. You can relax wonderfully in this place.

The Argyle Luxury Boutique, hotel in Nawalapitiya

The Argyle Luxury Boutique has a fitness centre, a garden and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Hatton. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 37 km of Gregory Lake.

Truly exquisite hotel with excellent facilities and the most helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were in excellent condition with lovely views. The pool was heated and superbly maintained. All areas of the hotel were immaculate and pristine. Staff were incredibly helpful, for example, making separate dishes at the buffet to cater for allergies. They were always on standby to anticipate our needs, for example, asking if the children would like a ball to play with in the pool. The spa was calming and a great place to relax and unwind. The facilities were extensive and had something for everyone. This truly was a gem of a hotel.

what an amazing property. we were thoroughly looked after and nothing was too much trouble. the food was exceptional. we wanted traditional Sri Lankan curries and that’s what was prepared for us with spices and fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden. the rooms were huge. the gardens and views were stunningly beautiful and so quiet except for the sounds of the birds and monkeys. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕

Tree Houses by Jungle River, hotel in Nawalapitiya

Situated in Ginigathena, 48 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens, Tree Houses by Jungle River features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant.

The Tree House is one of two and located in a fabulous jungle/tea estate setting. Morning bird walks were excellent, as were hikes down to the river at the bottom of the property, ideal for river baths. Great view from the Tree House (make sure to keep windows shut when not in the room - there are monkeys in the estate), and even better, no mosquitoes at night, so you can keep the windows open to let in invigorating mountain air. Had 2 delicious breakfasts with the hosts and some very interesting conversations. Thank you Shehan, Pavithra and Binal. If you have a vehicle with a driver, probably more practical for him to stay at the nearby town of Ginigathena. My driver was reluctant to drive the ~2km to his accomodation on the estate because of road conditions, which meant he had to call (and pay for) a 3 wheeler tuktuk whenever I needed him.

Elegant Hotel, hotel in Nawalapitiya

Located in Kandy, 7.1 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens, Elegant Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

We loved our stay here, all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Roshan in particular took excellent care of us and made us feel very special. Niroma at the reception desk was exceptional and went out of her way to arrange some thoughtful things for my partner's birthday. The hotel itself is very beautiful with gorgeous gardens and our room was excellent.

Probably the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka.

Probably the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only minus could be a lack of internet connection in the cotttage, but, really, who cares for wi fi in such scenery, and it is available in public area.

Tea villa can introduce as enriched with nature beauty.

Tea villa can introduce as enriched with nature beauty. You can get a lot of experience like hiking and rafting. It's also a great place to spend your day with a cup of delicious tea. There is also a outdoor cricket court where you can play cricket around Tea Villa. And you can enjoy Sri Lanka's own local hospitality right from the entrance to teavilla . In short, I'd recommend a place to get away from your day-to-day busy life and reduce your stress.

Spectacular location in the midst of a tea plantation. Secluded, quite place ideal for a rest. With its own restaurant and a little bar (both with amazing views of the valley) the place invites for a peaceful stay. The food was delicious, the rooms spacious and comfortable. For the price one could not wish for more. Most importantly, the personnel was very helpful. They organize multiple attractions and sightseeings - we did not take part (apart from cooking class), but there is certainly enough to do for several days.

A property which has plenty of potential to be world class, sadly the water pressure in the rooms were really bad, for a property situated in the mountains, horrible breakfast option, sausage, eggs and toast which was the same everyday. They claim to have a BBQ area and shared kitchen but, they did not want us to use it. The WiFi never worked in our rooms and the staff did not help in fixing it either. Overall, apart from the beautiful location a d surroundings, there's nothing much the resort can offer.

The location was beautiful and peaceful. A perfect getaway, with plenty of sights & activities available not too far off. The option of tuk tuk tours is also available through the hotel, which is an excellent way of seeing the sights especially for someone arriving by train. The staff was very helpful, accommodating & polite. Most importantly, I travelled with my teenage daughter, and we did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe at any point. I would recommend Tea Cottage for Female and/or solo travellers.

Absolutely amazing!! We had our own cottage with huge balcony overlooking the best view I have ever seen including the waterfall in the distance. Room was immaculate and had a huge bath tub with hot water. Hotel had a generator so power cuts didn’t affect us - we had dinner and breakfast and power. Staff were so kind and generous, and allowed our driver to stay also due to location and travelling. Food was great and served to the room on the balcony.

It's a hidden gem a short distance from the Nawalapitiya Town. Amazing views of the surrounding mountains and in the middle of a tea estate. There is a tea factory within walking distance and even a tea tasting tour for anyone interested. The pool is located further up the hill, making for an amazing location for a dip. They have a dining in option with a decent selection of mains and sides and cold beverages. The staff were really friendly.

Everything was perfect. The most positive point is the very kind staff. They are very helpful, cheerful and polite. The location is amazing. The views are really breath taking as if you are in heaven. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Rooms are so clean. Bathroom is perfect with shower, bath and everything you want. The food is perfect and the restaurant is perfectly located on the view. They can arrange any activity for you.

Stunning landscape and beautiful surroundings. Very attentive and friendly staff. Great local food and huge choice of tea specialities in the restaurant. The room was cozy, very clean and blissfully quiet. Private pool was empty but they offered us to fill it up in case we wanted to use it. Plenty of options to see and do things all around the area and tea plantation which can be organised through the hotel manager.

Tea cottage resort is a nice quiet place in the mountainy part of Sri Lanka. We were impressed by the size of the room, the marvelous forest and tea plantations view. I want to praise separately the staff - they are so professional that it brings you a feeling of a 5 star hotel. The breakfasts were delicious, also we had dinners at the resort restaurant, which were a great value for money.
