We loved everything about this hotel!! New spacious room with modern bathroom and lovely private patio; excellent pool to cool off after morning safari or before evening one; very friendly and helpful manager who was always smiling and sharing info about elephants with us over meals; very good food (really liked the rice and curry!) which we weren’t necessarily expecting from a hotel restaurant. And the best part: seeing elephants across the road in park during breakfast l!!
Side note: be careful about where you book in this area. The hotel we originally booked canceled on us day of when they found out we’d booked a safari through someone else (not them). We were lucky to find this current hotel who said it was our decision to book safari with them or not (although I’m sure their safaris are good too!).

The room was large with two double beds, and very clean with air conditioning.
The host prepared dinner for us and a packed breakfast for us to take on safari. Each meal was about 2,200 Rs for two people.
We booked safari through another operator and the host did not take issue with this. I mention this as we had booked another hotel previously that did not want us to stay unless we had booked a safari through them.
Overall, perfect place to stay for a night before safari!

One of the best stays in Sri Lanka. We got very spacious room - the whole challet just for us. It was very nice there. The swimming pool was just amazing. Everything is new and clean and the staff was super nice.
They drove us from Ella for half of the price we were offered in Ella.
The hotel is close to the national park, you can agree on the safari trip directly in the hotel and they come for you.
They also arranged for us a taxi to Mirrisa and managed to rent a bigger car to travel with other travellers for lower price for us.
The dinner was sri lankan average, but very big (three courses menu).

This is a great stop of for visiting the nearby safari. Everything was great. A real family atmosphere where everyone tries to make your stay as memorable as possible. They arranged a Valentines surprise for us, a cooking course which was incredible and thorough and also a great safari. Lovely big cool room too. Wonderful value too.
