Communication was good and hotel even offered free transport from Hatton Station but we came from Kotagala, hence not taken the offer. Staff, especially Kiruban (apologies if misspelled), was very helpful and service was excellent.
Location and facilities were good. There was a nice balcony with a view of tea estates.

The service we received from the owner and staff was outstanding. They helped us with all our inquiries and most importantly got us our train tickets to Ella!

We were told to treat the magnificent bungalow as our own home as we arrived and had a drink in the wonderful colonial drawing room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing, the afternoon tea was the best I have had in my life.
We loved the walk around the tea plantations and swimming in the infinity pool

There is nothing to do in Hatton, the city itself is not very interesting. However you can take the scenic train route from Kandy to Hatton and then join the tea plantation tours and hikes and afternoon teas.
Many leeches so beware.
Way colder in temperatue than Minneriya, Dambula, Kandy etc.

Hatton is a scenic and beautiful town in the mountains.
Hatton is a scenic and beautiful town in the mountains. Gorgeous sceneries anywhere you look. The town has plenty of shops and banks. Pretty convenient to get everything you need. The hotels are run a bit differently to Colombo and Kandy. Not sure how to explain, but things are bit slower. It is great to hike there and search for waterfalls and the nature and beauty is unending. Lovely local people, friendly and kind. The temperature is seriously pleasant without the humidity. Even the tea plants love it.

lovely area - i would have liked to stay longer and do Adam's Peak . I enjoyed walking through the tea plantations and seeing the factory - and there were other hikes to do that we didn't have the time to do. Also, it is not too far from Kitulgala which is also a great place to go. we rafted there and loved it - and there is also a lovely rain forest there that we did not have the time to explore.

The Hatton area is the centre of Sri Lanka's tea industry and has a cool moderate climate. The area around Hatton and especially Castlereigh Lake is spectacular, with beautiful tea plantations waterfalls and stunning vistas. It is at an elevation of 3,000 meters so pack warm clothes as well as t-shirts as the weather is changeable. As a result of decades of British colonialism the region is dotted with fantastic Bungalows and the locals will speak English. If you can, try and arrive via train (use the second class tickets, first class is aircon and too cold with non-opening windows) from either Kandy or Nanu-Oya (Nuwara Eliya) its one of the most scenic train journeys in the world.

Hatton is the gateway to Sri Paada pilgrimage for the travellers from Colombo or specially the tourists. The town is small, packed but friendly and could have been lot more planned, cleaned and visitor friendly.
Our time in Hatton was marked by incredibly friendly service. Faced with a missing driver at night, the owner arranged a last-minute transport to Adam's Peak, ensuring we reached in time for the sunrisem making it an unforgettable execrpience. While dining at the accommodation became a necessity, it proved to be a brilliant decision. The option to choose between a Western or Local Breakfast added a delightful touch to our mornings. Hatton remains a memorable destination, thanks to the friendly service and the owner's dedication.
This is a beautiful hidden gem. The staff...amazing! They went above and beyond every day! They arranged tours for us and had our very own tour guide (Luxman), who works at the hotel take us to plantations and sites. He was the best ever! Can't thank him enough!
Our room was perfect! Comfortable and very clean.
The food at the restaurant was delicious and very well priced!
This place went beyond our expectations and is very highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!
We will return.

Thank you very much for all .
we feel like home here..sure one day come back
The reservation was confirmed by bookings.com and when I called them, they also confirmed it and sent me the location too. ( proof available).
But on arrival, I was informed by the reception that the bookings were full and that my reservation could not be accepted.
Yes they said sorry for the mistake, but it took me many kilometres and my valuable time to go to the hotel and get it informed. Totally dissapointed.

Mount View Bungalow is a nice place to stay if you travel across Hatton area, specially to Adam's Peak. Very close to the Hatton town centre. Place was very clean and organized. Rishad, the owner was very friendly and supportive and will definitely help with anything you needed - meals, parking, locations etc. Highly recommended for both locals and foreigners who expect a great customer service.

Love the view of Adams peak and the overall view from the hotel , the hotel is very spacious and very clean , well maintained by the staff also the manager was very friendly, overall definitely worth except the breakfast , I strongly suggest to improve for the satisfaction of the customers not the hotel or management..
The hotel is so spacious with so many amenities. The food is delicious and they always give you a lot of food. The staff is so helpful. The surrounding area is just jaw-droppingly beautiful! The prices are a little higher than some area hotels but with all the amenities and meals included it was very worth it!
The friendly family, nice food, lovely stay.
The owner went with us to Gartmore falls, which was absolutely beautiful. You can swim on top of the fall. He brought us lunch. The waterfall is a hidden gem, not yet discovered by tourists.
Thr drive through the traplantations is stunning.
Go to Hatton!
The hospitality was great. Appreciate all services provided by the property. The Manager /Caretaker was a very good person who made our stay very comfort and safe. The tea provided was awsome and up to hotel standard. I stayed with my daughter one night.
Hope to come again with my whole family.
A great place to stay in Hatton! The staff are unbelievable nice and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The owner drove me himself to the bottom of Adams Peak, and the chef made amazing food 😊 Loved drinking chai masala on the balcony with my book in the sun.
Excellent location just a short walk into the main town. Views from the hotel are beautiful and relaxing. Room was clean and spacious. I can not thank the owner enough, was very helpful and accommodating! Would definitely recommend if staying in Hatton.
