If You have 24 hours in Kampong Cham, You should visit Wat Hanchey (20 km to the north), a nice Wat with great views over the Mekong. Wat Nokor, a few kilometers west from town is an ancient temple, which is still in use today. It is more “real” and alive than other ancient sites in the country. Visit the French Lighthouse at sunset: great views over the city’s skyline (open 24 hours, no entrance fee, but the stairs to the top are not suitable for people with fear of heights.)

It's very calm and relaxed compared to Phnom Penh and therefore makes for the perfect escape! There is enough to do with in terms of sight seeing but honestly it's a great place to just unwind for a few days. PassApp is available - making it easy to get around, or you could rent a bicycle/ motorbike as its quite small.

we hired a great driver who took us to see rubber factory which was most unusual. He was a bit naughty in overcharging us for onward tickets, however due to time restraints we had little choice but to pay

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The place was really peaceful and even though the hotel is 17 KM away from Kampong Cham there is plenty to do. You can relax by the pool or use their Lotus Hall for yoga. We borrowed bicycles to ride the village around the hotel and took a boat to see the sunset from the beach on one of the nearby islands. One night, the hotel staff invited us to create flower arrangements with them. That was a great opportunity to talk to the staff.

The property has a beautiful light in the morning. The rooms are very basic but that reflects in the price! The host organised us bikes, a taxi and was always around if you needed something. The food was tasty and a good price too. We had a really great stay here and extended it an extra night. Cycling around Kampong Cham was really lovely. Also the WiFi was really great (online meetings passed without a delay).

Amazing place, the hosts are very nice and polite. On site you can order tasty food for $2/2.5, you can also do laundry at a good price. It is possible to rent bicycles for $2 per day. Very good value for money and if I have the opportunity to return to Kampong Cham I will definitely stay here again

The hosts are friendly and it's a nice comfortable place to stay. The room is big and the bathroom is clean. It wasn't near the city centre which meant we got to explore the local area. There's a nice market nearby with some good food if you want dinner or snacks.

The staff is great and helpful and it's possible to get a scooter what is necessary as it is a bit far from the city center. With a motorbike, it's ok. The room was comfortable and the hotel clean and welcoming.

An affordable choice for budget travel. Do not expect much from it, though. A bit far from downtown, so you better consider it since the neighbourhood is not English-friendly.
