Nagoya's not like your other big cities in Japan (like Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Fukuoka). There aren't many standout sightseeing spots or the like, so it might feel a bit dull if you are expecting those. But it is an excellent city to vibe in. Enjoy Japanese culture on a more relaxed - less touristy - way.

We didn’t have much time to explore Nagoya as it was our starting point to travel to Shiroko for the Formula 1 race at Suzuka Circuit (Thurs- Sun) We did see a lot of Nagoya Station as we arrived & departed from there, walking to the apartment on arrival and back to the station on departure. It was an easy walk, not busy with many pedestrians until nearing the station. We went to the mini marts (7 Eleven also) numerous times for food and drink which we carried home. Also had meals at several of the restaurants nearby. A great location and wonderful accommodation! Would highly recommend.ReneeUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

We stayed near Nagoya station so all sort of stores and food stalls are available. We love the transportation system as always, (Japan got the best). We like the day tours we booked to Takayama and Shirakawa-go, also Nabana Nosato. Easy to navigate, not so crowded, quiet place and of course safe even for solo lady traveler.

We liked the food, restaurants are everywhere with variety of choices, from ramen to yakiniku to curry. Shopping is also okay although limited shops but overall shopping experience is okay. The room is very simple without bathtub which is not really important for me. Close to the Nagoya station (JR line, Hirokoji side) (500 m ~ 5 or 7 mins walk) or 300 m from Kokusai center subway station. I like the concept of the hotel: saving water and energy to planting one tree per minute in the world. Such a great hotel!!! Ohya, the room service clean my room everyday and give me a new slipper everytime they clean it up.

The staff was kind and welcoming. The quality of food at the breakfast was good and I appreciated the tranquility of the restaurant, you could wake up and have your breakfast in peace. The parking was free which was the main reason why we chose this hotel in the beginning. We requested the rooms to be close together but the hotel did not provide that. However, the hotel asked us to pay extra if we would like the room next to each other. So we did pay extra. This means that the rooms were available but they just want to charge extra.
