Futon bed - one of the comfiest I slept in during my 3 months in Japan.
Owner - She was nice enough to drive me to the closest onsen after I arrived following a 85km cycle.
Food - Really nice jerk chicken, not something you’d expect to find in southern Kyushu

This hotel is excellent. I decided staying for one more night due to flight change. It is close to JR station and shopping malls. There are many restaurants nearby. The staff members are excellent too. They are friendly and helpful.

Very convenient location. Need to get up a few steps before getting into the hotel, which is not ideal for big luggage. Room is not too big but twin beds are comfortable.

The reception was fun and pretty unique. But besides that's its a regular but really solid hotels. The room was spacious, comfy beds and a TV of a really nice size. The location is pretty good as well. Even though it is in Tenmonkan, it is just outside the busy area. It is just a 1min walk to that part, and also really easy to reach from Kagoshima-chuo station. It's basically just a 15min walk, straight ahead. Although a taxi is a better option when you are with suitcases. About 1000 yen from Kagoshima Station.
