The location of APA Hotel Sugamo Ekimae is just steps from Sugamo station which makes access to the metro very easy. It isn't very close to the city center so keep that in mind when commuting. I didn't find that there was a lot to do nearby, but the area was certainly quiet and not overly busy. It is conveniently located across the street from a 100 yen shop (similar to a dollar store in the U.S.) The room was bigger than I expected (though still significantly smaller compared to U.S. hotels). We had packages and luggage delivered to the hotel and that went very smoothly. The staff was very polite an accommodating. There is coin laundry on a few floors as well as a vending machine for drinks. There is wi-fi available in each individual room and the TV shows a timer for the washers and dryers (and what floor they're on). It also lets you know wether the bath houses are busy or not. They did provide clothing and shoes to wear inside the hotel as well as a hair dryer, toothbrush, tooth paste, towels, bedding/linens, a mini fridge in the hotel (though I don't think it was cold enough to store leftovers...maybe drinks). There's a money exchange in the lobby on the first floor in case you run out of cash.

Ideally located in the Adachi Ward district of Tokyo, APA Hotel Ayase Ekimae is set 400 metres from Tokyo Budokan, 1.3 km from Higashiayase Park and 1.9 km from Horyuji Temple.

It’s APA, so same with the one I stayed in Asakusa. They provided all necessary amenities including towels, bathrobe, slippers, etc. There is a bathtub privately provided in the room. Room is more space than the one on Asakusa. Receptionists were friendly and professional

I stayed 4 nights in the hotel. Location was good in terms of distance from JR Akabane station. Several convenient store around. The room was small but still a tad bigger than some of the hotel I've stayed in Tokyo. Mattress was okay, nothing great. There's washing machine on level 7 if you need to do laundry. Level 3 and another level had ice machine and vending machine.

Open from August 2017, Guest House Wagokoro offers a modern Japanese-style accommodation an 8-minute stroll away from JR Nippori Station. Each room comes with an en suite bathroom and toilet.

Location was excellent; literal minutes walk to major shopping attractions such as animate Ikebukuro and Sunshine City, and lots of dining options and casual shopping spots like Daiso, Can Do in its vicinity. Also takes only about 10-15 minutes walk to the Ikebukuro station, and the major shopping malls nearby it.
