His family had lived on the site of the Roman city for 160 years, and he talked about growing up there. He is also head of the museum on the site. so if you are lucky - and if he has time - you might get a personal tour.

The house is excellent, and was absolutely what we were hoping for. Abdula is an excellent host and on hand for anything you may need or to answer questions. His breakfast was simply amazing and brought to the door. The bed was comfy the living area and outdoors was ideal the garden was a relaxing and beautiful place to watch the sunset. I wish now we had booked another night as there is so much to do in the area. I would stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
