The grounds and views were breathtaking, majestic, and serene. The accommodations were impeccable and our spacious patio allowed us to relax in the fresh air. The food and service were exceptional (as a vegetarian, I had one of the best pastas I’ve ever had while my husband’s steak was delish). And having breakfast al fresco was the perfect way to begin our day. We will definitely return as it is a three-hour drive from where we live and the town of Sarnico is lovely. They are dog-friendly, too!

The hotel in located in nature, in the top of a hill. The view with the lake is breath taking! The room was clean and we had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was very simple. They do not have an appropriate restaurant. Because I do not speak Italian language, it was difficult to communicate with the host. She was very kind anyhow.

Sarnico is a beautiful town.
Sarnico is a beautiful town. Good for either a short break or a stop on your travels. Many restaurants and shops. We ate in a few of them and can recommend all of them. Is inhabited by locals and not so many tourists so less touristy. Can walk from place to place easily. Look out for different priced accommodation. There is a place for everyone's choice. Market is on Thursday. Pay a visit to the church in the centre of the town. Beautiful. Can swim in the lake, a little way out on the left hand side of Lake Iseo. Ice cream along the river, in the car park is divine. Parking a little pricey and all day. Main road across bridge so this road can be busy.

Make sure you get the updated book for the lake. You need a car to get around to all of the sights around the lake. It was lovely and very little tacky tourist traps. Refreshing to visit all of the sights around the lake. It was a little difficult to find sights even with GPS.JJudithGermany

There is a cafe and bar at the property on the ground floor, however as the season changes in September this was closed during our stay. This was not an issue as there is an abundance of cafes for breakfast nearby. If booking after 5th September please be aware that the ferries only run from Sarnico at weekends . However there are plenty of regular buses to the other towns on the lake .
