My son loved running around the huge teracce, had a great view of Catania Bay, we watched the ships arriving to the port, and smelled the flowers of orange trees.
Le Dune Sicily Hotel is only 2 km away from the city centre of Catania. It lies in an enchanting place between the golden sand of "de La Plaia" beach and a beautiful small Maritime pine forest.

Totally not recommended if you have to choose a property in Catania take a look for another one. When we booked our stay in Booking there were no choices for different rooms in the property. We very disappointed when they told us on the reception that our room is in different building behind the buildings on the pictures in Booking. It was noisy, smelling, small totally not this for what we paid and not what was explained and not corresponding to the pictures.

We had a large double room with two balconies, with an open view towards the sea. The room was decorated in a “Belle Epoque” style including a painted ceiling with cherubs. The room was very comfortable, with a large bathroom and good shower with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the sunny courtyard garden as a place to take breakfast. The breakfast included the typical fare, plus scrambled and boiled eggs - it was basic but more than sufficient. The hotel is close to the central station and about a 15 minute walk to the main Catania sites such as the Duomo , fish market and many restaurant choices. The hotel looked a little scruffy from outside, but the interior decor was fine and in good order. The reception “capo”, Francesco, was very helpful and engaging, and the other staff pleasant. Would be happy to stay again - we thought it good value for money.
Set just behind the Massimo Bellini Theatre and 500 metres from the Duomo, Hotel Centrum is a friendly hotel right in the heart of the historic centre of Catania.

Great breakfast, friendly staff who arranged a taxi for us and allowed us to check in two hours early. Fair sized rooms and a decent updated bathroom. Perfect for a one night stay before we flew.
