The hosts are very nice, very welcoming. They provide infos about attractions, events and activities in the surrounding and are ready to answer questions.
We especially liked that they baked their own bread and had local cheese.
We were there at Easter time and they made a special breakfast with cute bunnies from eggs and dyed eggs.
It is a very cozy place, highly recommended!

We loved pretty much everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, with a private, not crowded beach in Lugano Lake, two swimming pools that were perfectly clean and well-prepared for the guests, and great service and food. I think it was also great value for money

If you have much luggage, I would travel there by car. Otherwise travelling by bus was really easy and inexpensive. We ate at most of the places on the main street through the town. We loved the views, in all honesty they were just spectacular. The best part of driving to the village was admiring the countryside as you got there. That being said, make sure you don't have a very wide vehicle as you drive up from the Lake Lugano side. The roads are very thin and have some sharp hairpin bends. Driving up from Lake Como is much more relaxing, using the main road. Our favourite place to eat was the Taverna Due Castagni. The food was amazing, the prices (average 11€ per course) make it superbe value for money. A great pizza restaurant on the main square. Not much shopping for tourists seeking souvenirs but a genuine local town. Great location for accessing both lake Como and lugano. The hair pin bends are interesting! Would recommend Porlezza on lake lugano and Pirga for the walk to the Belvedere and the funicular down to Argegno which is a beautiful little village. It was attractive, clean, with a good breakfast, good water pressure and hot water. The small town was charming, and the mountain views impressive. But the outstanding quality was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, he seemed to be the manager, who did everything he could for us, from coming to get us in the parking lot, to finding a wheelchair, to getting us pizza when I was too tired to go out for it. By our final day, we were driving like the locals!

The hosts were super kind, they picked us up with a Jeep from the closest village. The food was superb, the breakfast amazing - all fresh produce from the farm.
