Sette Querce, hotel in San Casciano dei Bagni

Just 164 feet from San Casciano Dei Bagni, Sette Querce is a renovated building from the 1930s in the Tuscan countryside. It offers free internet access and a large furnished garden.

This is a beautiful suite hotel in a very small town in Tuscany. Our suite was on the first floor facing the street-no problem there -the street is very quiet at night. The suite was beautifully appointed and spacious. Bed was comfy and the kitchen supplies were great. In the morning you can order whatever coffee you want and a generous breakfast tray is brought to your room or to the upstairs outside terrace-whatever you want. Free parking next door. The town is tiny but the views are beautiful. The family owns a Michelen star restaurant in town which I highly recommend. All of the towns we visited were about 45 minutes away. We would pick two towns a day to visit. For the price this hotel was definitely worth it!

Albergo La Fontanella, hotel in San Casciano dei Bagni

La Fontanella is located in the heart of the green region of Val d’Orcia, in Tuscany. It features a restaurant serving products that are grown in the hotel’s farmland.

The food in the restaurant was outstanding; possibly the best we enjoyed during our trip through Tuscany

Casa Fabbrini Agriturismo, hotel in San Casciano dei Bagni

Set on a working farm producing olive oil and Sangiovese wine, and a 10-minute drive from San Casciano dei Bagni, Casa Fabbrini Agriturismo offers a free outdoor pool and garden.

The staff, meals and facilities were tremendous! the grounds were so beautiful. It is very well located to see so many different sights, just between 15 minutes to 2.5 hours away max by car and you can see most of Tuscany and even other areas of interest if desired. The only thing I would say is lacking for the price point is that the pool was uncomfortably cold. For the price point and advertising it with the pool, we all were hoping to have some enjoyable time swimming and relaxing by the pool. We didn’t take advantage of that due to the frigid water. Our week of staying was September 10-15 and it was very warm beautiful days. I can’t say enough good, and the many increase features of this property far outweighed our desire to relax by a pool! Just putting that in this review so people are aware! I seriously would totally recommend this beautiful paradise to Anyone! We hope to return!

Wonderful room with private entrance, right beside the Via Francigena. Super quiet. Hosts very friendly, basic but good Italian breakfast. For those walking the Via, note there is a bar 800m away or bring food as we did.

Villavetrichina, hotel in San Casciano dei Bagni

Surrounded by the Tuscan hills, a 5-minute drive from San Casciano dei Bagni, Villavetrichina offers a free pool and BBQ facilities.

We know Tuscany well and we have been in the area many times. We discovered Villa Vetrichina by chance. Experience is a 10/10 and we will come back for sure We stayed 3 days with 2 young kids (2 and 4). Property is outstanding, inside a forest, quite and charming. Rooms were perfectly sanitized (for Covid-Savy like us) and spaced. The villa is beautiful Incredible attention to details and customer care, particularly with our kids: Patrizia the owner, left toys in the room for us, made the kids select the cups in the morning to made them love breakfast and even made a surprise for them :). The food was outstanding. There is a possibility to ask dinner service in the restaurant. It is a customized experience: Francesco the chef has been super, traditional hand made Tuscan food (pici, ribollita, antipasti toscani fillet of chianina to name few, option to fulfill our wishes anytime). We ate way too much :) Breakfast outstanding hand made cakes and biscuits from Patrizia , beyond level of a traditional local pastisserie, fruit, juice anything. We have an electrical car., Patrizia allowed us to recharge linking to the electricity for free. Super kind! In Nutshell luxurious, charming but very very cozy human atmosphere. definitely better than cold 5-star hotels in the area (which we tried too)

Although I stayed far from the village, I did visit the village to eat dinner at the fabulous Ristorante Daniela. I learnt there are hot springs, and hot baths that you can walk to and bathe for free. It was too hot now in July to try these out, but it would be fantastic in cooler weather.

A guesthouse just a short walk from a beautiful small town, near both the archaeological ruins of the Roman baths ( where visitors can still bathe in thermal waters and visit the small museum in town to learn more about the history of these baths) and near the large and luxurious Fonteverde Spa, where day treatments and pools are built around the same ancient thermal springs. The guesthouse is small and charming in a lovely location, and staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

The furniture were well selected and very comfortable. The terrace outside gave you the option to enjoy the fresh air and the separated entrances made it feel like a holiday home rather than a hotel. The bathroom was in a good condition and the shower shower had had a good water pressure. The kitchen was well equipped and the lady that greeted us and brought the breakfast was very forthcoming and friendly. We have nothing critical to say about this place, it was a real oasis to unwind.

This hotel was perfect in every way and I wish that we could’ve spent more time here. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is gorgeous and the surrounding area is beautiful. We spent our time using the thermal pools and the Turkish sauna. It’s also a short drive to Montepulciano. We’ll be back and I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the perfect Tuscan luxury escape.

Located in a quiet countryside village with a small number of local shops and restaurants, including Restaurant Daniela which was a delight to eat at. Room had a cottage feel to it and was surrounded by trees and plants. Bathroom was new and clean. There was a tasty assortment of food for breakfast and a little courtyard to eat in. Parking was also a breeze.

The hospitality of the property manager and the staff, the old hystorical building, the story of the family Pizzinelli (who started the b&b in the 1800), the comfort of the bed, the large room with a small living room and a beautiful bathroom, the amazing and rich breakfast. Walking distance (10 minutes u and down hill) to the thermal baths of San Casciano.

Breakfast was nice and delivered in your room or to your terrace, if you preferred. Staff were friendly and the room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is located a bit away from the village but next to the large parking lot. It was a great spot to explore Tuscany from - we ended up driving most days to see neighboring villages.

The L'Ocanda is a lovely place, nestled in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. It welcomes you with warmth and a cozy charm and seduces you with its comfort and airy spaces, both in the common living rooms and in the spacious bedroom suites. A special mention to Giulia's crostatas at breakfast!
