Upon arrival, we were genuinely impressed by the picturesque location and the impressive building, an exquisitely restored castle by the sea. The surroundings were absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the experience soured once we stepped inside our room.

I highly recommend this beautiful B&B. Excellent quality accommodation, delicious breakfasts, and the nicest hosts who look after their guests so well. Spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Outdoor areas in a pretty and peaceful garden. A 5 minute walk into town.

I never expected such a peaceful place.
I never expected such a peaceful place. Beaches, coffee shops, restaurants, Fish restaurant i eat in was La Giara in the harbour which was over the top seafood plus owner offered us free cocktails all for the price of 60 euros for a couple. Portopalo is well located for day trips to Noto, Modico etc...
Portopalo is well located for day trips to Noto, Modico etc and beach clubs. small very quiet town close to the very popular Marzamemi. The town itself is not that pretty or interesting and is fairly closed in without a central square .

We took a ride in a boat offered up by the hotel with the family to swim on the island across the way which was fun. Quiet and remote great swimming right outside the hotel and easy to get delicious food on foot. It is a beautiful apartment with access to the kitchen, with a beautiful terrace and a very green garden. Lots of beautiful decorations, lots of amenities. Room, bathroom and surroundings very clean. In the kitchen you will find everything you need :) A few minutes by car to the town, close to the beach, also close to the charming Marzamemi. The owner was very nice and helpful. They kindly picked us up from the Portopalo bus station and returned us there at the end of the station. Carmela’s apple cake is rightly legendary and the facilities are top quality and very well maintained. Freshly squeezed orange juice every morning and delicious home bakes. We hired electric bikes from the hosts at a reasonable cost to explore the area via the quiet roads.

Location is very comfortable, you are in center of the village, everything is at few steps from you.
