Staff was so friendly and accomodating for our large family (two rooms for 6 people) even though we arrived late and hungry. The front manager spoke great English, walked us to our rooms and explained things to us. Breakfast was much fancier and more than we expected (compared to the usual free hotel breakfast in North America). Rooms and hotel were very clean. Free parking was appreciated. Incredible views from our room and breakfast room.

The room was great, modern and well equipped. Outside was really nice and looks like it would be really enjoyable during a warmer season. Great view too.

The access roads very steep which needed advising.
The access roads very steep which needed advising. The hotel needs some signage further in the village to help finding them. Sat nav gets confused.
The room walls too thin and you can hear much from next door rooms.
Reception not manned for us to check out. Rang their bell but waited over 10 minutes, then ignored while signed for a delivery and answer a phone call. Poor service. Service at breakfast and evening meal very good but a bit spoilt by two large groups dominating the room, a bit hard for the waiting staff. These groups should have been in their own room, they were however well behaved.

Small town with many traditional foods to taste, travellers should have a car to get around and to be able to visit nearby points of interest. I visited friends so mostly ate at home and visited forests and beaches nearby.

Don't arrive on a weekend - the town is manic with hundreds of visitors filling the streets - it's much quieter and much more attractive in the week. It is well worth visiting there are some beautiful churches and monasteries to see and some very good frescoes.

Touristy - but spiritual at the same time.
Touristy - but spiritual at the same time. You can buy local products. We went to the Sunday Mass in the grotto and that was an amazing, uplifting experience. We enjoyed an excellent, very reasonably-priced meal in a little wine bar/restaurant on the main street. The young chef was so kind and gave us a guide book of walks for the coastal area. I am sorry - I forgot the name, but it begins with a "C". Try the local broad beans, with pork cheeks - wonderful! So good to have a menu that offers local, peasant cuisine from the past.

Lovely town with a nice central location to set up shop and stay for a week while I toured the Gargano. The town has some tourist stuff but not much. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. Even though I couldn’t speak a word of Italian everyone was so nice to me. Not many people could speak English throughout the Promontory and cash is the main currency. Credit cards were not accepted in 90% of the Gargano. So brush up on your Italian and head to this gem! There is so much to see!

We really liked our stay there. We were initially a bit disappointed not to be able to book a room in Vieste near the beach (everything was booked out already). But we found the city of Monte Sant'Angelo so lovely. A delight to stay there and stroll in the streets during the evening.
The hotel was clean and the room spacious. The hosts were so kind and helpful we really appreciated their help when we had questions or else...
We also loved the pool with the sea side view. Really nice and refreshing.
no words enough to describe our stay! such amazing memories! this villa will fulfil all your expectations regarding real Italian atmosphere! breakfast and dinners at the terrace with breathtaking view, grill outside. Very detailed and antique interior, well-furnished kitchen with lovely ceramic plates ❤️ next time in Puglia - we’ll definitely choose this vila again, as this is the exact place where you want to come back. And separate thank you to Maria, the kindest host 🤍
The location of the hotel was perfect for visitors of the Cave of Saint Michael. The Sanctuary was right next to the hotel and we were taught that there is an elevator in the hotel that takes us directly to the floor of the cave inside the sanctuary. We were able to use that elevator several times to enter the sanctuary during our stay. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was big. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Monte Sant'Angelo.
Maria’s villa is a beautiful place to be for a holiday in Puglia. Awesome views, near to beaches, forests, mountains, villages, peaceful and quiet - the perfect location.
The villa is very well equipped with everything you need - really everything!
Thanks for the many lovely welcome touches - a good bottle of wine, their own olive oil, coffee, and a few things in the fridge.
We enjoyed our stay in a home away from home!
Breakfast buffet was rich. Very good value for money is the dinner (to be booked in the morning) in the hotel. Friendly staff. Swimming pool with great view over the valley.
The place is very quiet (a little away from the city, but that brings the silence...)
The hotel is right next to the historic old town. The room was big and the terrace was good with fantastic view.
The beach is great. Ok one has to drive half an hour down from the hill, but it is fun, especially if one likes hairpin curves.
The location of the hotel is really unique, from the balcony or window you can see the surrounding area in clear weather. The breakfasts were excellent, the amount of food in the form of a buffet and the very helpful and friendly staff.
All about the location next to the cathedral, though the hotel was difficult to find. Staff spoke no English but found a way to communicate. Had a hair dryer to lend when my wife’s dryer would not work. Very clean. Free parking.
The hotel is within walking distance to the Sacred Saint Michael cave. It’s a holy place and the peace and beauty are true blessings needed in this world. This is a place of pilgrimage that should be shared.
The bathroom with a big window for natural ventilation instead of a noisy fan. The view from the window was a bonus. the hotel was on the top floor, so no footsteps above annoying me.
Most travelers don't stay in Monte SantʼAngelo , but if you need to stay overnight, this is a very good option. When visiting the town we didn't see anything better or alike.
Great location for northern Puglia. Great view. All the amenities and best of all a great host Massimo. So friendly and helpful, made our stay very special indeed.
