Cosy apartment but too small for a family of four> the kids slept on the couch/bed in the kitchen and it was too small.
The bed in our room was very good and the bath was ok, nice shower, but the door was toorisky on the stairs and at night it would be sometimes difficult to go there.
The smart tv was ok, and it was very clean. Unfortunately the "basics" for cooking at our first arrival weren't there: salt, oil..We would have appreciated them. Anyway there were dishes and all the rest (not a table cloth or breakfast placemats)
I would reccomend our apartment just for 2.
The host was kind.

The place where this home is located is really nice - surrounded by nature (oh, the soothing sound of the river stream next to it!) and at the same time relatively close to the amenities offered by the town (Staffa). A convenient starting point for hiking on a wide variety of mountain trails. The starting point of the excellent Valle Quarazza trail is literally next to the house. Getting to the trails starting in Staffa or Pecetto is also convenient - they are about half an hour's walk (or 5-10 minutes by car) from the village of "I'm Spiss". Therefore, yes - in this sense, the house can be assessed as excellent. It is also important that the parking lot at the house is spacious and comfortable.

Hotel Lo Scoiattolo is next to the little historic square of Gressoney La Trinitè, in the Monterosa ski area.

I loved the breakfast - freshly squeezed blood orange juice was irresistible, breads and cheeses high quality, and the fruit preserves amazing. The spa was a great facility to chill out in after skiing. And the free minibus service to the ski lifts was a luxury! I also loved the church bells and chimes - what an enhancement to our stay!

It was perfect tor family.
It was perfect tor family. They have nice small streets to wonder around, a place where you can drink or fill your water bottle with fresh water, some small parks, nice water falls, donkeys. We had a nice walk everyday in a nice cool weather. We had a lunch at one of the restaurants at the central plaza, and it was also delicious. Highly recommended.

A tiny village with a stunning glacier and the striking massive of Monte Rosa behind. The village in the summer is shows resemblance to South Austrian villages with the wood and the geraniums.
Unfortunately we couldn't go up to Passo Moro for extraordinary maintenance, which was not evident from the website. But just climbing up to Alpe Bill offered a challenging enough hike, some mushrooms and a very different angle at the valley and the village.
I'd pack and go tomorrow if I could.
My stay at the Monterosa Residence was extremely positive. Alessia, the manager, was always available, friendly, professional and helpful. The location was great, quiet yet in the town center, with balconies with fine views of the Monte Rosa. Restaurants, ton center and grocery store all within 200m. Comfortable room, bed, bathroom and a very pleasant garden for relaxing in view of the mountains. Plus Macugnaga is an historic, unspoiled mountain town, ideal for hiking. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Very cozy hotel situated in the town centre with great staff, tasty food and a relaxing atmosphere.
The prettiest element has to be the balcony with the amazing view of Mount Rosa.
The Staff is super friendly and always available to assist you with any issue.
Nice breakfast with many foods and beverages to choose from and the possibility of having fresh cheese and cold cuts served to you at the table.
The hotel was clean and overall I had and incredible experience and will be back for sure.
Highly recommend!
A place with nice character, and all facilities. We had a large room, with balcony. The breakfast is excellent! Good location, there is a bit of a walk (15-20 min) to the main part of town (Staffa), but also a bar nearby and the hotel has a restaurant as well.
location, furniture and organization of the house - absolutely complete, modern and functional.
liked the special care (key places and attraction in macugnaga) and the wi-fi connection (was able to smart-work without issue)
Loved this place. Super helpful and friendly staff who even offered to drive me the mile down to the center of Macugnaga where I had trekking clients staying. Super clean room and comfortable bed. Very quiet up in this area.
From the hotel you can make great walks. You can see the sun going down in the mountains.
The village is nice, great restaurants. The hotel has arranged reductions.
The staff is very kind.
I would go there again.
It is a very charming and historical location, like from the movies, both the small town and the hotel itself. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel. Many walking trails can be reached within a short drive
The venue is charming!! It is spacious, clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. The hosts were very kind and they helped us find a place for dinner because we arrived late and out of the high season
Just incredible. The room was lovely and silent, bed was comfy, nice hot shower, the location was perfect and the breakfast.... AMAZING! Highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely worth it.
