The bedroom is small, a bit hard to move around. Also, we went there in October and there were a few cold days. It would have been nice to have a warm blanket. 😉 There were no restaurants in Leni, at least not in October. Rinella was within a 10 minute walking distance, but did not have much better options, either.

Great location. Our room had a large private terrace with a view overlooking the city rooftops and the sea. A nice Italian-style sweet breakfast is served on a lovely open-air rooftop terrace with great view. Elevator handy for upper floors. Great, friendly, attentive staff. If I could give a more accurate rating, it would be 9.5

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop,one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.

They arranged a shuttle (for free) to and from the Rinella port, helped us negotiate a price for our moped, and gave us great ideas on where to go. The breakfast was very good, and the staff’s attentiveness was top notch. The hotel itself was in good shape, has a wonderful view of the sea, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Wifi was reliable and air conditioning worked. Overall, excellent value and we loved our stay here! Thank you!

The very friendly, helpful and honest staff, exceptional cleanliness, the semi-private beach with good facilities (which is free for guests) and the views from the room and the restaurant makes L’Ariana the best hotel of Salina! We rented a scooter and crossed the whole island and were always happy to come home to Rinella and the hotel. The hospitality, the relaxed but cozy vibe, we loved everything of the hotel and definitely will be back!

It was a pleasure to meet them. Leni is a little village and one gets to know the locals a bit in a short time. I ate at a new little kitchen close by run by Enzo and it was homely and delicious. The local wines are wonderful and the capers and lemons! There are some lovely walks nearby. I would love to stay longer.AronAustralia

The restaurant is excellent but popular in the neighbourhood so reservations are recommended. The little village of Leni has a lot of charm. It's quiet and calm and there is nothing to do... Perfect for a laid back holiday disconnecting from the busy city life. There is an hourly bus service and if you can drive a scooter, renting one is a great idea to get around.
