The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking countryside towards Florence. Staff very helpful and friendly. This was particularly so as my wife was unwell during our stay. Upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival. Lovely room.

It was amazing. The lady Marianna was very welcoming and even helped us out of her way. I would recommend this to everyone and I would visit her again in future. This is the best bed and breakfast I have been to

I enjoyed to stay in the property, as it was super calm beautiful location with a huge garden, small terraces, the pool, and vineyards. There were many facilities outside the apartment, different benches and cozy chairs with tables, so we enjoyed to drink wine outside at the evening. Also, the property has a fantastic view on Florence and suburbs. The room was stylish and very cute, I even took a bath.

The purpose our visit to Fiesole was to celebrate our friend's birthday whom we had not seen for years. We had never heard of Fiesole, but they were staying there for a 3 week holiday (from Canada) and so we joined them with zero expectations. Fiesole was absolutely lovely, and frankly two days was not enough. We ate very well at local restaurants and visited the lovely Franciscan monastery on top of the hill, which is well worth a look. An incredible museum with Chinese coins dating back to the 100AC (!) and an Egyptian mummified kitten amongst other extremely old antiquities! Was not expecting that LOL!
View of Florence is spectacular from Fiesole, and to think you are in a small little quiet 'village' just 20 mins drive away.

Nestled in the hills just a stone's throw away from Florence, Fiesole is a quaint Italian town that may not boast an extensive list of attractions, but it captivates visitors with its serene ambiance and unparalleled vistas of the Tuscan capital. If you're in search of a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Florence, Fiesole is the perfect destination.

We did not see much of Fiesole because our stay was short and we were focused on Florence but we would really like to have visited the Roman ruins of Fiesole. The part of town that we stayed in has a nice piazza with a restaurant, an ice-cream parlor and a really yummy food truck. It is really well connected to Florence (a cheap bus takes you to the city in 20 min. and it comes every 15 so it is really convenient). The restaurant has a gorgeous view of the whole valley with Florence in the middle. We also saw the post office and a grocery store around there. It is really a pleasant town with a lot to offer.

Quaint little town on the hill above Florence, easily accesable by bus from the centre of Florence. There are few restaurants and cafe's in the centre and also a historic centre with Roman ruins and a museum. We had 3 nights tehre, but could have easily stayd more, as the vibe of the small time is great and if you get bored you can easily go to Florence and back.

Fiesole is a beautiful vibrant village in the hills above Florence. Wonderful views back towards the city. Fascinating history to explore. The perfect place to stay out of the hustle of the city and only a 20 odd minute bus trip away. Lots of great bars and restaurants. A well stocked small supermarket. We love Fiesole.

Deliberately booked fiesole as didn't want the chaos of florence centre. However, there is a number 7 bus that goes back and forth 1.50 euro takes about 22 mins and very frequent.I believe would get a better class hotel in centre and yes same price or less .The walks are tiring around fiesole but views worth it. we were lucky sun was shining each day. some amazing sunsets about 7pm.Little cake shop towards bottom hill ALCEDO cheapest coffee to go and amazing cakes.Coop sells all need to make picnics as food is very costly
The staff communicated very well & were most helpful with questions, calling a taxi etc
We chose Fiesole because it is in the hills over looking Florence so it is scenic, less crowded, quieter & cooler in temperature. There are fascinating Roman & Etruscan ruins plus an excellent museum of antiquities in Fiesole. Lots of choice for little cafes, bars & restaurants within easy walking distance of hotel Villa Bonelli. We would love to return & thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Pensione Bencista is a very special place, with several cozy quiet lounges where one can sit and relax, have a drink, read a book or just enjoy the friendly atmosphere. That is, if you prefer to be inside; otherwise there are plenty nice spots to enjoy the same activities (or inactivity) on the various terraces and in the gardens. The staff are very friendly, we felt at home as soon as we entered the hotel. A real feel-good place!
This beautiful air Bnb set on property was exactly what we needed for our few days in Florence. The room was comfortable, we were fed a beautiful breakfast each morning and our host and her family were so lovely. We drove into the town each day (5min drive) and caught the but into Florence. it was so easy and convenient. The last day we explored Fiesole, what a beautiful town so rich in history!
thank you for a lovely stay!
I stayed for 7 nights & it was fabulous. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were kind & helpful. Poggiopiano is very well run with attention to environmentally aware rubbish disposal. The property is in a beautiful rural setting of vineyards & olive groves, but still only a 10-15 minute walk (quite steep so recommend taxi to arrive with luggage) to the No 14 bus which takes you straight to the heart of Florence.
I enjoyed to stay in the property, as it was super calm beautiful location with a huge garden, small terraces, the pool, and vineyards. There were many facilities outside the apartment, different benches and cozy chairs with tables, so we enjoyed to drink wine outside at the evening. The location was superb! We only stayed one night, but enjoyed it very much. There is a shuttle to Fiesole provided by the property that allows one to catch a bus that brings you right into downtown Firenze for minimal money and time. Parking was easy and everyone was very nice. The cabin was well equipped, clean, in good shape and very comfortable.
Waking up to a great breakfast, making a short drive to Florence, spending all day there, returning to enjoy the pool with views, dining at the nextdoor Trattoria La Casa del Prosciutto, relaxing in well decorated clean airy room, turning off air con and enjoying the fresh hillside breeze overnight. All helped by the very kind owners, thank you!
Wonderful friendly host made this feel like being a guest in someone's home rather than a BnB. The location was beautiful, the town of Fiesole was charming with good restaurants and amazing views. Connections into Florence were super easy by bus from Fiesole, however I recommend having a car to drive from the BnB to the bus station.
We loved the pool, it was amazing! The location was great, about 20 mins on the bus to Fiesole from Florence and then a few minutes drive from Fiesole to the property. However we didn't have a car and it was about a 20 walk from the town to the property. Breakfast was also great.
Thanks for having us!
Our room was spectacular. The room service and concierge went above and beyond. Bravo to the team. Highly recommended. As we were attending a wedding, we didn’t have time to sample the Michelin Restaurant but the food at the pool bar was exceptional. We will be back!
The location was just a short but beautiful walk from town centre. The pool and the views at the hotel were incredible. We extended our stay because we loved staying here so much! The breakfast is a typical breakfast and the staff are all friendly and helpful.
It’s everything you could possibly dream of for a farm stay in Tuscany. The hospitality of the host, the home prepared breakfast and the entire property and views were exceptional. We were exploring Italy by car. I would highly recommend a car for this area.
Lovely location, spacious and very well equipped apartment , nice pool with comfortable sun loungers nearby town of Fiesole very pretty with shops and quality restaurants and signora Daniela a very helpful and welcoming host!
Staff was very pleasant, room dimensions and noise were good. View and ventilation was very good. Absent the strong smell from sewer gas in the bathroom, it was a fine choice in the lovely little suburb of Fiesole.
The host, Eleonora was super warm and friendly. Everything was perfect. It is super clean, the breakfast was very tasty, especially the scrambled egg with Fiesole olive oil.
Definitely recommend to stay here.
loved our stay. It was prettier than the pictures. Very beautiful location. Took the train to Florence. It was very quick. stayed late in Florence and took a taxi back for only 24 €
Offers breathtaking views of Florence, authentically yet tastefully decorated rooms, delicious locally sourced food and a great selection of natural wines.
