I loved the old ambiance of this hotel. It is peaceful and quiet. My balcony room had a view of the surrounding mountains. This property also has a lovely pool and outdoor seating for eating. I highly recommend staying at this hotel as it is an 8 minute walk from the train depot in Domidossola in the historic town close to all restaurants, museums and places of interest. This hotel is owned by the same family for many years. Dinner and service in their restaurant was delightful and the minestrone soup…superb!

The view from our terrazo was exquisite and the kitchen was very functional. Our host helped us overcome some challenges caused by our own lack of language facility and lack of preparedness, throughout the trip

This is a great place to stay to explore the mountains on the border of Switzerland without paying Swiss prices. The apartment has everything you need and is a very nice size for a couple or small family. The parking was easy and there were always plenty of spots. There are a few different options left for breakfast as well as coffee and tea.

The property is lovely.
Upon our arrival, the host welcomed us, showed us around, and made sure everything was in place.
Breakfast was lovely!
Calm atmosphere.

The historic piazza Mercato and the area there(just round the cornner and ?100 m down a shopping street) was wonderful. Modern services with cafes/restaurants and interesting shops made up the perimeter of the piazza . Despite its comfort and accommodation of modern details the historic atmosphere and authenticity wasn't compromised. There was a fabulous bookshop (for almost any subject I think) but brilliant for alpinism/alpine history. Supermarkets were <1km away, train <1 km away, peaceful at night - you can't not love it which is why people from Switzerland cross the border to enjoy life in some warmer sun

If you don't speak Italian and you don't have your own car...
If you don't speak Italian and you don't have your own car either skip Domodossola or make sure you are staying in a place right in town. Once you leave the center of town it's not a walkable place. The drivers race everywhere despite the narrow streets, there aren't any sidewalks in the residential areas and it's extremely difficult to find anyone who can speak English.
On the positive side the prices were a lot lower for everything than in Switzerland and the architecture and scenery was beautiful.

Having had a great two night stay we extended it a further two night which we quickly regretted.
The noise which started on the third night was intolerable. A local bar started blasting loud music around 5pm. The police drove passed several times but didn't intervene until around 11pm. This did not stop the music or noise. When the music stopped just before midnight we had endured it for almost 7hours non-stop. We were exhausted and the shouting of people outside (including young children at the bar) continued into the early hours of the morning. We would not return!

Beautiful little medieval centre, lots of pedestrian streets, masses of good restaurants, fabulous setting in the mountains.
Not too busy even in high summer, and friendly locals. Well-connected by trains to Switzerland and the rest of Italy.

Local residents are very friendly, helpful people.
Local residents are very friendly, helpful people. The life is so laidback, food is amazing. You can try loads of different type of wines, all of them was really nice. You can find vegan restaurants and the are cater for gluten free as well. If you want a really relaxing holiday, I highly recommend this little beautiful town.

We met Roberto just outside of the station and he pointed us in the right way. He partly guided us to the apartment on the first floor. The apartment has a good size, setup kitchen, big windows, quiet location just on the edge of the center and a massive bathroom. We had a good sleep on the sofabed. Roberto was easy to reach and his English is sufficient. All in all a good stay, happy to return in Domodossola
It was super clean and they greeted us with fruits on the table. They couldn't check us in because it was late but the next day when we asked for options to eat and drink, they gave us a list of good suggestions. They had a luggage storage which was very convenient and their hotel was very near the train station. The room is even nicer than the pictures and the bathroom was huge.
Great location in heart of old town with lots to see and genuinely lots of places to eat and drink. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with great views from the windows. Breakfast gets a special mention. It was served at the table and the dishes just kept coming! Quite a unique experience really. The two ladies running the hotel were so nice and extremely helpful.
Staff was courteous. Anna helped us checkin and book a taxi and many other ways. Location is close to train station and exactly at City center. With many nice bars and restaurants around it. You feel good about the proximity
Room was nicely decorated and was soothing to stay in. Breakfast spread was amazing. Attention to detail is the the phrase for this boutique hotel.
We stayed only for 1 night but we choose probably best accommodation for value. Central location, everything is reached by walk. Room was fantastic, comfortable bed, clean room and facilities. Definitely we will had great time in Domodossola. Thanks for making our stay special and for sure next time when we visit Domodossola we will stay here
Location is in a walking distance to everything you'd need in Domodossola. Hosts are super friendly and helpful, communication went smoothly though we speak different languages. Easy check-in/out, the room was clean and cosy
Overall, I had a good sleep here and would definitely consider this place if visiting Domodossola again.
Perfect place to feel the old town of Domodossola. It’s located around the corner of picturesque place, Piazza Mercanto, which is 7 minutes on foot from the train station. The apartment seems newly renovated and very clean even though the house is very old. The host is very kind and willing to assist
Perfect location for our trip, the owner Maurilio was kind, available, knowledgeable. the apartment had all the features needed and much more than that. Tons of info about Domodossola, where to go, where to eat, best places to visit…even bikes to explore the lovely town.
Staying at this property was the best choice we could have made for Domodossola! The owners were so kind and hospitable, the rooms and shared spaces comfortable, a delicious homemade breakfast, and nothing could beat that view in the morning as the sun rose!
very warm, friendly, just like staying in your family’s house. the owners are very welcoming and extremely helpful. we also had the dinner in the hotel it was delicious. the breakfast was extraordinary.
One of the few hotels in Domodossola that has onsite parking which was a positive for us. Also genuinely dog friendly. Clean, airconditioned room and quiet at night.
The place is situated in the middle of Domodossolas Old Town, everything is in walking distance and still the nights are quite. Nice place, well equipped.
