weekend. We got a lovely room at the top floor. It was really nice and spacious and daily cleaned with superb quality. Didn’t expected that. The hotel staff was nice, professional and helpful. We had hotel breakfasts during our stay. They were tasty with good choice of local products, sweets and Italian coffee served. I need to appreciate the deepest respect for the gentleman working in the restaurant during breakfasts. He was so kind, polite, and smiling that meeting him was a great start of each day. The town of Dobbiaco is great if you're planning on exploring the Dolomites. It may not be as central as Cortina d'Ampezzo, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper. Lot's of beautiful locations are still within about a 40 minute drive. Which is what we did. We didn't explore Dobbiaco itself that much. Only went there for eating out or groceries, usually at the end of the day after a long day of hiking.
The outside parts of the town feels rural, but the center has a lovely old church and reminds you this place has been around for quite some time. Rural or not, it still has plenty of places to eat out or shop for groceries.
One pub was quite nice and had two tables full of local farmers who got together, laughing and sipping wine, probably after a hard day's of work. As a tourist, I'd say there was a lovely relaxed, quiet vibe around town.

Rent a bike and wherever you ride (there are countless cycles paths) you'll find wonderful landscapes.

This hotel run by the family, expect the mother roaming around specifically in the dining room.
The staff members at Casa Alpina Dobbiaco were exceptional, and went out of their way to help us with any needs or advice. We had an issue with lost luggage from our flight to Italy, and they did all they could to support us with our trouble. We very much appreciated their support!
The hotel is close to Dobbiaco center, the breakfast is amazing, full of local products. We could smell the fresh croissants every morning in our room at the second floor. And the staff is very nice and helpful. The room was cleaned everyday.
We arrived on a late train and missed our stop and the hotel manager was so, so kind and came and collected us, very late at night. Both he and the other member of staff on duty were so helpful and accommodating
The flat was very usefully located for us, being near to Toblach (Dobbiaco) railway station, also very near a ski hire shop. It was also spacious with a decent kitchen and two separate bathrooms.
Location slightly remote, but hands down the nicest hotel experience. Dinner menu was fantastic. Room was clean, tidy and with everything you'd need for a brief stay.
This hotel was one of the best parts in our trip!!! the staff was kind, the room was big and beautiful, the restaurant was delicious. everything was excellent!
