This is such a wonderful place! It is a nice old building looking out on the mountains. The location is very central but very quiet. The rooms are decorated with a lot of attention for detail and thankfully nothing from IKEA in sight. But what really makes this place is the lovely hostess. She is so very friendly and so very accommodating. She prepares fresh breakfast, no pre-packed toast, jam etc, here but fresh fruit salad, freshly baked omelettes, high quality pastries and cakes. In this little B&B every effort is made to make you feel welcome.
Set in the Pollino National Park, Il Belvedere offers rooms with air conditioning in Civita. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas.

First of all Gian Luca and Eva are the nicest and most welcoming hosts. The room is very comfortable and the breakfast with freshly prepared items exceptional. The trail dedcending to the ponte di diablo starts just next to the house. Civita itself is a chrming village conserving its tradition and its beautiful location.

It was amazing, could not recommend enough. The owners were so helpful and hospitable and gave us recommendations for the town. They also showed us the way by car from the town square. Amazing happy people and the most beautiful town enclosed by mountains.

A last minute decision to stop a night here had us not wanting to leave, mainly because of the beautiful accommodation, food and people. We made the most of our short time here and walked down to the historic bridge ( devils bridge) amazing scenery and it was very peacful only us on the road and tracks. The town had a selection of restaurtants and we found a lovely spot to enjoy a beautiful meal and a fabulous bottle of wine. We wished we had more time to stay in Civiita however we had connections to make so moved on. I highly recommend visiting and staying at least 2 or 3 days and if you have a car exploring the area.

Historic village nestled in the mountains with plenty of Albanian heritage.
The nearby gorge is spectacular and there are restaurants, walks and places of historical importance to visit.
You can get there by bus, but it may not be easy so a car is preferred. If you wish for a quiet holiday in lovely surroundings, then Civita is the place for you. Every Italian in southern Italy speaks endearingly of Civita.
