Instead of 2 nights we stayed 5 and based our Tuscan exploration from here as so wonderful! Big thanks to Suzy and Beatrice for their patience and extra help with sorting some things for us. You were wonderful! Michaela is a fantastic chef and recommend the smoked beef and sea bass and breakfasts were lovely. Lorenzo was a great sommelier who made great limoncello spritz! Amazing pool area and beautiful grounds with covered parking and beautiful views of the countryside. Will hopefully return one day from NZ

The location is remote and private. The staff are welcoming, accomodating and happy to chat. The rooms are modern, clean with excellent A/C (try to book a room with a balcony). The beds are comfortable and there is complimentary water in the mini-bar. We stayed 3 nights and wish it could have been more..I recommend more than 1 night to take advantage of the location. There is an east facing private beach with sun beds and umbrellas. The breakfast is very impressive, with lots of choice and unlimited coffee. The restaurant does excellent ravioli, chianina and pasta with chingiale with a lovely wine list.

Clean and convenient location, nice host and great views. Many great restaurants and places to wander- small town but lovely and quaint. I would not have wanted to stay longer than we did but glad we went. I think this place was good value for the secure and clean location.

Beautiful ancient town with restaurents offering the so good Italian food. Markets along the streets several days a week.
No traffic inside the central (ancient) parts of town, so to stroll along the tiny streets is just very relaxing.

A super stylish hotel in an old villa by the waters edge. 50 metres from the cheap ferry, which ran frequently and offered free parking at the ferry pier.
The room was beautifully stylish, the photos do it no justice, and facilities were first rate.
The staff could not be faulted, they were engaging, helpful and could not have done more for us.
The food looked and tasted appetising.
Finally, the setting was tranquil.
Super easy to park, to get the ferry and get to the hotel. Don't let the logistics put you off a magical stay.
La Loggia is a beautifully restored suite of rooms in a historic clock tower within the castle walls of La Castiglione del Lago. Rick and brick walls have been restored revealing frescoes. Entering the building it’s a little unclear what to do, but if you press on and ascend to the first floor, the office and chambers of the inn are obvious. A small shield on the door and buzzer provides access if locked. Many details have been attended to that will make your stay comfortable.
The owners and Elena are very kind. Elena was there to give us the keys and she waited for us (we where one hour later than expected). A bottle of wine and some coffee were there, so we felt immediately welcome. Elena booked a very nice restaurant for us the first evening. The location is wonderful, we could see lago di Chiusi as well as lago Trasimeno on the property. The property is also very beautiful and the swimming pool is very nice.
Location, clean spaces, veggie garden on the backyard, comfy bed, very well furnished kitchen, excellent breakfast and staff beyond amazing!
Roberta and Simone, the owners are wonderful hosts that treated us as dear friends and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasurable! My wife and I will return to their B&B in a heartbeat when a new opportunity comes. Highly Recommended place, lovely and caring hosts!!!
Loved Borgo Solario! We rate based on purpose. Wanted a place to sit and enjoy meals, cook if we wanted while enjoying the peace and quiet countryside. Close to Montepulciano, Cortona, Castiglione Del Lago, Lake Trasimeno and Perugia. Super clean, great communication, Michelle and Sergio are incredible hosts. Suggested great things to do and went above and beyond in helping. Very keen to visit again, great experience.
This was the perfect retreat for myself and my family. The pool and the spa were relaxing, and the restaurant was amazing for dinner. We have a two year old, and the staff was warm and friendly with her and I was so impressed with everything. Breakfast was delicious, and I was pleased to find that there were a few warm items (eggs, bacon) that you don't normally see on an Italian breakfast table.
It was such a wonderful stay in an exceptional hotel in the heart of a beautiful city. The hotel staff may have been the friendliest people we had ever met. They also helped us with every thing we could have ever needed; from cutlery at midnight, to giving us recommendations in the region, to lending us an umbrella on rainy days. Could not have asked for more, and will definitely re-visit!
Monica, the owner is kind, sweet, very friendly and did everything she could to make our our stay pleasant. The rooms were spacious and clean. Thr location couldn't have been better. The view of the lake was beautiful and the garden was lovely. It was a relaxing , low key vacation. The bed and breakfast is centrally located right near the local shopping , just s few steps away
The owners are so kind. Welcoming & friendly.
Excellent breakfast with fruit, ham and cheese & pastries.
Don’t expect luxury, very pleasant & exceptionally clean accommodation.
Great location for both lake & access to the lovely historical center of Castiglione del Lago . It is all uphill so be prepared.
Everything clean, everything well kept and attention to details around the property. From the pool you can see the surrounding hills and the Trasimeno lake. Excellent coffee and breakfast. Very kind staff. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy the area. You will regret for not staying longer :).
The hotel was very well located, the room and the view was amazing, and above all the staff was very nice and helpful!! They book a table for all clients of the hotel in their restaurant (not mandatory to go) and lot of choices for the breakfast. I won’t hesitate to book again here!
We loved everything about this property, the owner, staff, and location. If you are anywhere near Castiglione del Lago, this boutique hotel is a must. We felt like honored guests here. Paolo and his family made our stay so comfortable and welcoming we didn't want to leave!
The staff was very warm and accommodating, and made things easy for me when I had to keep altering my dates due to changes in my travel plans. Additionally, Hotel Duca Della Corgna is the kind of place where the staff remembers you and is eager to help with all your needs.
it is a little gem in a quiet part of town. the restaurant is elegant and comprehensive. rooms were spacious and well suited to a short stay. the staff were very helpful and nice
Very close to the old town, and the lake just down the hill.Big, comfortable bed.Wonderful attention to detail in the interior decoration.Clean and spacious.
The pictures say it all. Great vistas and facilities. Pity we were there for only one night. Good location to visit the Lago Trasimeno and surroundings
