Super nice place! With an incredible view to the hills. We were very overhelmed by the owners that took care of our stay. They also make such a good red wine!

After the hustle and bustle of Florence, we opted for a two-night stay at Casa del Susino on our 8-day journey through Tuscany, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The house is nestled in an idyllic location in the village of Poggio Rosa, boasting breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. Its proximity to other charming towns and stunning landscapes is truly invaluable.
Our hostess was gracious, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The entire household exudes authenticity and comfort. From the charming decor to the tranquil surroundings, Casa del Susino provided us with a delightful retreat. The apartment itself was incredibly cozy and impeccably clean, with two separate bedrooms adorned with charming decor that truly captured the essence of the place we were visiting. From the moment we stepped inside, everything exuded a sense of home, but what truly stood out (and if you're reading this review, you've probably heard about it by now) were as we called them: Le torte della Nonna- freshly baked cakes every day.
And let's not forget the added bonus of the local osteria, Le Rocche, in nearby Castiglione d'Orcia, where you can indulge in excellent homemade local specialties and pizzas.
Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Al Piccolo Ulivo, a casa di Mimo&Sè is set in Castiglione dʼOrcia, 4.3 km from Bagno Vignoni and 18 km from Bagni San Filippo.

A great spot on the Via Francigena. With a washing machine, sunny garden, kitchen, purchasable drinks in the fridge, takeaway dinner ordered by whatsapp, nearby bar for fresh (and yummy) croissants and a comfy bed.

The BnB was well located just inside the city walls, perched on the edge presenting wonderful views of the hilly countryside. It was small — 3 rooms - and comfortable with a delightful if small garden. We enjoyed an evening ritual wine sipping at a garden table that overlooked that view. Our host Sylvia was warm and friendly.

A touch of Tuscan beauty nestled amongst its own Vineyards and olive groves in the valley of D’Orcia. Owner Angela, lives on the property and ensured that anything we wanted was there for us.
Short drive to village with restaurants, supermarket & shops. Every day for 2 weeks we travelled to a surrounding village, mainly fortress hilltop villages, all with their own special offerings.
A truly amazing experience.

Castiglione d'Orcia is nothing very special, a nice place to see some old historical buildings and have a drink in the local bar. But it is indeed a good starting point to discover other places in val d'orcia like Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, San Quirco, etc.

Podere Perelli has almost surreal beauty, it offers a charming vista which demonstrates why the region of Val d’Orcia is a UNESCO site - endless rolling hills dotted with the iconic cypress trees and haystacks. The host, Carlo, makes you feel like you are home. And as the Tuscan sun sets on that magnificent landscape, we are regret not being able to stay longer. I will not hesitate to recommend this home away from home.

Its a quiet, small hilltop village. Great base if you wish to go and sight see. Lovely restaurants and enough 'facilities' to enjoy a week's stay. Great restaurant, Cisterna nel Borgo. Great food, excellent catering for gluten free diet. Marta, owner, couldnt have been more helpful.

This place is incredible. Located in the middle of the Val'd'Orcia with magnificent scenery all around. The hotel/restaurant is located in the center of a medieval village that sits atop a hill with a medieval castle standing guard . The rooms of the hotel were very comfortable, clean and spacious. You are treated like royalty by the owner and her staff. And the restaurant, some of the best food in Tuscany with wonderful ambiance. Our entire stay was like living in a history book.
Best place I stayed in all of Italy. Location is phenomenal, right in heart of most beautiful region in Tuscany (Val D'Orcia), view overlooking a valley. Despite being on a farm, the room and living area and bathroom was much nicer than the average of all the other hotels we saw in the cities. The dinner is lovely too. The owners are super friendly and helpful.
We stayed in Italy for 5 weeks with a road trip. We stayed in a different hotel almost each night. This was our most memorable stay as we had a room that gave us an open window on the castle & the Tuscan hills. The sunset was out of this world. Good breakfast also.
A house is situated in a beautiful square. From the terrace you can see the square with a fountain and typical Tuscan countryside. The small town of Castiglione dʼOrcia is really picturesque. There is a small shop and cafe just next door.
