Old monastery that is run by nuns that are working just like it would be a normal hotel :) the view from the room is very nice and the area is calm and nice. Very good pizzeria just 500meter away.

We were upgraded to a room with a sea view as soon as we arrived which was a lovely surprise.
Our room was spacious & well turned out, with great thoughtful practical facilities.
A stunning Hotel with excellent Dining & Bar - don' miss the delicious breath-taking breakfasts over-looking Mount Vesuvius with gorgeous orange grove gardens below. Situated in a great location to travel to Pompeii & Naples and then along the Southern Amalfi coast.

An interesting area - a slice of real Italian life which we enjoyed after the hustle and bustle of some of the more tourist driven locations.
We ate at La Medusa Hotel sampling exceptional gourmet fine dining.
There are regular train stations travelling along the north and south coast making it perfect to get anywhere.
Local boat trips take you on refreshing scenic coastal tours, however the day trip to Capri was extremely busy with tourists.
An Amalfi coast boat trip is a must and hop off at the little village gem of Positano.

Surprised to find my original review did not "save" properly. We absolutely loved our accommodations. (Two couples) The view is spectacular up and a bit out of the way. We drove down from Rome airport and enjoyed recovery soaking in the sunset on our first night. The hosts were gracious with our delayed arrival due to heavy traffic. We saw Pompeii and Sorrento the next day then much of Amalfi on the third day. We should have planned another night. So perfect! Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed accept we should have bought a big bottle of water along the way.

A perfect location on the train line between Naples and Sorrento so perfect from which to explore the area. I was alone so didn’t venture out much at night but this certainly seemed an option if desired.

The port area is not renovate at all, the outside walls of the buildings are exfoliating and everyone is drying clothes outside the window which is looking very bad. The place is getting very crowed and the driving here is an adventure to escape without a scratch.

I've been visiting Castellammare since 1978.
I've been visiting Castellammare since 1978. Some terrible damage was done in the earthquake of 1980 but the city has progressed past that and is now a beautiful place again. Even better than before. I love the atmosphere and the friendliness xxxx

The bedside floating shelf broke when I put a 2 litre water bottle on it. One of the knobs on the front door came off. Noise from the street is big. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good central location. No parking.

it was a spacious bungalow, we rented 2 self contained and it was 7 of us. it had all the utensils and cooking facilities. it was in a close location to the beaches, 15-20 minutes by car, with no car it would not been good place to stay. it had a small pool, and lots of fruit trees which the owner was generous to let us have some. the owner was very helpful and provided us with the charcoal for barbecue and converters for our chargers. in all we enjoyed our stay as we went out all day and used the place to crash in the evening.
Francesco was very welcoming and friendly, we didn’t arrive till very late and he was there waiting for us with our key which was great! The room was a good size for the four of us, it was lovely and clean with lots of towels for us all. It was also cleaned during our stay and fresh towels were given. Kids loved the location, really handy for the train, which was easy to use to get to Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples. We loved Castellammare Di Stabia and loved staying at B&B il Vicoletto. We will definitely be returning!
I had a wonderful long stay in Luisa's comfortable and beautiful apartment. The location cannot be beat, close to the beachfront, train stations, and a lot of great places to eat. And you can see Vesuvius from the kitchen/living room balcony! (and also from the bathroom window). Luisa was an excellent and accommodating host, checking in often about how I was enjoying my stay. Breakfast was tasty, and a little different every day. I can't imagine returning to Castellammare and staying anywhere else.
The staff were so friendly and excited for us to stay there! It was a beautiful room that overlooked the ocean. The main square was very close but the room was still very quiet. It is a hidden gem! The number 1 is only a 15 minute walk for day trips to Amalfi, Pompeii and positano. I do suggest taking the ferry to Amalfi to see the coast on your way. Also the cafe in for the free breakfast was very authentic and excited for us to be there from the new local hotel! Super cozy hotel and fun town!
We used VIP Sul Mare as a base for a trip to Naples to avoid traffic there. Our stay exceeded expactations!! It is located close to train station,we left car - which was great for logistics. Our great host Alfonso was making our stay perfect!! Rooms are spacious and overlooking Vesuvius - view is amazing. We loved fresh orange juice on a balcony with sea view. We spent last hours in Italy on the beach with Capri view just 3 min walk from room! All was ideal! Only 30 min by car to the airport.
From the minute we arrived we were delighted with our choice of hotel. Even though it was a bit outside village they had shuttle bus to bring you to village/train station. Reception staff were fab and very helpful, Vincenco the driver was very nice. Patrizia, Tanya and Zaira in the Eden Spa were really great. Pool was fab. Restaurant staff were top professionals
One of the best stays we've ever been to. Incredible rooms with comfy beds, mini fridge, spacious and modern bathroom, and the staff were amazing. Great location close to train stations, beachfront, city center. Groceries just around the corner. By far best value stay in Castellammare di Stabia! Thanks for hosting us again
We were welcomed by Alessandra and honestly her hospitality and pride in La Chiaja made this stay even better. The pool area and the view are beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely return here on a future trip to Campania area.
Really very comfortable apartament. Everything was in. The kitchen fully equipped. It was a pleasure to be there. Great and helpfull host. If i will be once again in Castellammare di Stabia i will choose once again La Peonia. Thank You
We were there for our wedding and stayed with a group of friends/family. The hotel was great and staff was very helpful in accommodating additional needs. I also received a free room upgrade and could do a later check-out.
My recent stay in this classic building exceeded expectations. The room boasted high ceilings, clean, soft bedding, and ample space. Snacks, tea, and coffee added a cozy touch. Communication with the host was excellent.
Location is great. The staff was professional and courteous. The hotel needs renovation. Bathroom sink and shower were clogged. Very old facility. Furniture was old and few non functional. Our room had a wall for view.
Excellent staff and very lovely owner
If u want go to Malfi or Positano or Sorento ..it is less than an hour driving from this hotel… therefore instead of staying in crowded area… u stay in this hotel…
I like that The hotel was very clean. The terrace had a magnificent view! The view from the room (not facing the Vesuvio) was fantastic as well. The breakfast was very good! Great Fresh bread!
Clean, tidy, spacious, modern. Little balcony to use, power shower which was fantastic, this property is close to the train station and a short walk to the beach
Lovely hotel, great room with a balcony overlooking the bay and Mt Vesuvious. Nice continental breakfast buffet . Staff was lovely and very accommodating
