We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and it was nice for one/two evenings. We mostly travelled outside the Caldaro just having hotel in that town. Surrounding vineyards are lovely to visit and enjoy vine tasting. Great roads for motorbike or bike trips.

Nice and friendly. Much more German than Italian, which mainly is reflected on the selection of food available. Very nice area for starting walking and trekking in the mountains. Beautiful surroundings.

Very high quality renovated rooms. The hotel is located on Lake Caldaro but on the quiet non-touristy side. The private lake property is ideal for relaxing and reading. Hotel Tannhof’s scenery is amazingly beautiful. Majority of restaurant seating share fantastic valley and Mountain View’s. We really enjoyed a nice meal. Our room was perfectly clean with a walk out balcony and fantastic views. Radiated room heating was great. The staff take great pride in their customer service and care for their property.

We went there to go biking, which the area is fantastic for! The infrastructure for bikes is very good, and you can easily reach the caldaro lake, bolzano or even meran if you are willing to ride up some hills :) The fact that you have a garage that you can lock is also a great perk!

Is just a few minutes far from the town and in a good position to reach other places, such as mountains or cities like Bolzano or Merano. The apartment is very confortable and well equiped, with open views on the 4 sides. The host was very kind and helped us with everything we needed.
