The room was okay. Very basic but generally clean. Location was okay with shops and restaurants nearby.

Hotels near railways stations have a poor repiutation. That is definitely not the case with Hotel Rocca e Roma - it's outstanding. We arrived with our eBikes at about 10:45 pm from the Genoa train. The hotel is literally just acros the road from the station. Everywhere seemed very busy but it also seemed very safe with lots of couples and no drunkenness (although it was a Sunday). Our bikes were safely locked in the left-luggage room and there was a lift up to our huge room. We slept well in the bed and came down to a very good breakfast (sausages, eggs, cold meats, cheese, vegetables, breads, jams, fruit...).
