As the hotel is located at no less than 500m from the highway, this is very functional. Surprisingly, we heard absolutely no noise from the highway in our room. The room was spacy and clean. Close to the hotel are several good restaurants and a trattoria. We went to ristorante Marisa (150m from the hotel): excellent ! We walked to Cavalina. Don't do that. There is absolutely nothing there. Allthough allmost evertything at the breakfast was packed in plastic, breakfast was ok.GuidoBelgium

It is in the hills towards the Appennino and remains quite fresh even when the weather is very hot. The swimming pool is a big bonus. From there you can explore Florence, Pisa, Bologna and many other places. Also, there is a variety of nice and not so expensive local restaurants around the place.

Podere il Sasso is a B&B but it give any hotel a run for it's money, amazing location just above Bilancino lake, with view, was a really hod day but it was a nice stay because there was a gentile breze (very commen there), spacious room, clean and amazing sleep qualitiy.
