    We loved everything!

We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle.

Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle. It has a little grocery shop in the petrol station with hot dogs and ice cream. There are also the Mika and Friðheimar restaurants, both worth a visit. The outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds and sport facilities are fantastic for the kids. Take a short walk up to the top of the hill for some amazing views.

This is one of our favourite areas to book for weekends away from Reykjavík. We enjoy the local hikes, waterfalls (and also Restaurant Mika!). With Secret Lagoon nearby as well as the Golden Circle being within a short drive, there is plenty to do. This visit we also checked out the Hrunalaug hot springs which were fab!

The Restaurant Mika was a welcoming place, since we were traveling the Golden circle late and were worried we wouldn't have anything to eat before arriving at the amazing Blue Hotel Fagrilundur. We thought the restaurant would close at 9pm on the Monday night, but we saw they kept letting travellers in well past 9pm. And the food was wonderful! And they accommodated my partner's gluten and sugar intolerance so nicely, by even cooking the potatoes on a separate pan from the others. We would come back to Reykholt and Restaurant Mika and the Blue Hotel again and stay longer!

Skálakot Hotel is gorgeous property with fantastic breakfast and dinners. Staff were wonderfully helpful and welcoming. Chef Robert makes excellent food with fresh local ingredients— lamb, fish, fresh vegetables. 7th generation Icelandic horse breeding and sheep farm. Great location in south Iceland on ring road—

The Lodge is located near the Golden Circle. It is perfect to stay if you want to explore all the sites near that area. The host was very kind. You can use the kitchen to make whatever you like and the kitchen is equipped. The area around the Lodge is very beautiful and you can make a morning walk exploring the nature. I suggest staying there 2 nights and then head for the south to Vik to explore the rest of the Iceland. Value for money staying. Also if you are lucky with out clouds and dark night you can see the Northern Lights.

This was one of my favorite places to stay in Iceland. We stayed in one of the private hot tub cabins and it was just absolutely stunning. The hot tub is completely private and has a stunning view for sunset and sunrise. We saw the Northern Lights even though the sky had clouds - great location for that as well. The cabin itself was spotless, and much larger than I expected. There were two bedrooms, a nice kitchen, and a great bathroom leading right out to the hot tub! awesome. Great location for the Golden Circle!

Most amazing sweet home (this is 5b) in the middle of beautiful nowhere - right in the center of GOLDEN CIRCLE 🌈 Restaurant and small Supermarket / Minimart 6 Min nearby. The cottages are super clean and modern. Bed 🛌 is super cosy and Kitchen has everything like coffee, tea and oil to have your first meal ready 🍾 30 min to Gullfos Waterfall and Geysir 🌊. One of my best stay at guesthouse ever! Highly recommended. You’ll get code for gate and house 🏡 short before arrival. Easy!

The hotel is almost on the main road of the golden circle but still manages to have a very secluded feal to it. It has self-check-in, which transpired to be a great idea, considering it's location on the golden circle. I highly recommend taking an advantage of a constant light and exploring the hotel proximity at night -- we arrived very late from Geysir but had no issues with it due to self-check-in. The room was great: spacious, new, and extremely quiet, and the bed was great.

What a beautiful house! Solveig, the host, was friendly and helpful. Everything was neat and clean. We were two very happy families, 4 adults and 2 children, and there was more than enough space for everyone. The house is well equipped and the jacuzzi and sauna were fantastic. Nice spot on the golden circle in the little village of Reykholt with its swimming pool, shop, restaurants, playgrounds, football pitches, greenhouses and more. Thank you!

Everything. I think I had the best stay of my life. The room and the toilets were clean. The house had good temperatures inside and the kitchen was really helpful. There is a hot tub as well so you can relax after a tiring day. The owner is one of the nicest person I have ever met. She always smiled and she allowed us to cancel two nights for free without hesitation. I'd definitely go back to this place if I'd be around that part of Iceland.

Location was near the Secret Lagoon. We were able to check in and then get to the Secret Lagoon before it closed. We. were also able to find a restaurant nearby for dinner. One of the smaller bedrooms had it's own sink which made it easier for our group to share the facilities. The owner met us outside upon arrival to give up our keys. 3 separate bedrooms (2 rooms with a double bed, one room with 2 singles).

Great cabin with all the utilities that you might ever need. It had a mini kitchenette which is helpful if you wanted to make something quick. The hot tub was great. The hot tub was kept ready to be used. The views from the hot tub was not bad either. The cabin is in an isolated location, so although you might not have anything accessible nearby, the cabin's location is serene and peaceful.

Very cozy small cabine, located nearby Iceland's Golden Circle (some spots are only 20 minutes away). There is a small kitchen in the cabine you can use and a fridge for your groceries. The contact with the owner is very good, they are friendly and give you some informations about the nicest spots around.

AMAZING! I am blown away at how beautiful this hotel is, how clean, modern, easy to access, etc. The bathrobes that were provided were also the most comfortable I've ever worn. The breakfast was 10/10 as well. Cappuccino maker, fantastic. I could go on and on. Can't wait to come back!!

Hotel was nice. It is possible to do a self check-in as you get Pin Codes for your doors. Reception is open from the afternoon additionally. You can have coffee for free in the breakfast room the whole day and the two hot tubs can be used for free as well. Breakfast was very good.
