The cabin was nice and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. It is near a small waterfall with view over the near mountains.
We had a beautiful experience: the owner showed me the sheep and lambs and told me about them.

Perfect place as a mid-point in a long drive. Virtually ZERO to do, including only a gas station grocery only. But as a "motel 6" type option, it was better than average.
Facing the seafront in Búðardalur, The Castle features a garden and barbecue facilities. The property has sea and mountain views.

Saudafell Guesthouse has been in the same family for 4 generations. It has been renovated and finished in 2011. The living room is furnished with historic charm, with a great view over the property, and a porch. We had most of the guesthouse to ourselves in March and stayed in a nice spacious room on the ground floor with a desk, which was quite the luxury! The spaces are kept very clean, and Berglind comes over to prepare breakfast every morning. It was delightful! Highly recommended!

The host was very helpful and sent me messages few days before our stay, and ask if we needed any travel advice. We arrived late at night, but the host always responded in a very timely manner. When I entered the house, it far exceeded my expectations because I found that they are really bad at taking photos😂.
The interior decoration is full of natural and warm design, with many furniture and decorations made of raw wood materials. The house is located in the farm of the host's grandparents, which is my dream life. Quiet, peaceful, those who like solitude will definitely love this place. I love the farm and really enjoy being with animals. So I asked if I could see the animals and they were very helpful and immediately gave me a phone call to talk about this matter.
The kitchen had everything needed, coffee machine, oven, etc. Even the food and all ingredients. Though we didn't eat anything, they were very well prepared.
The next morning I saw the sheeps in the farm, can't describe how cute they are❤️But pity I didn't see the free and happy horses, they're running around.
I can't fault anything at all, this house feels like home and I would definitely recommend it to more people.

The owner is really nice, he explained us the most important things we could visit near the guesthouse. The room is nice but a little bit oldfashioned.
