It is a very unique place and hotel. There is nothing similar I have seen before. It is expensive but worth the money. I would definitely come back just to enjoy the views from the lobby and drink coffee or nice whiskey. Breakfast was also great.

The room was comfortable and quiet, good size for the two of us. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. We went end of March and were in a snowy paradise with 4ft snow drifts in front of our room windows. We love winter so the cold and wind were perfect for us.

The view was great. Could see Kirkjufell from the balcony. Property was very clean. Nice to have some kitchen tableware and minimal cooking items. It was just a minute's walk from a grocery store too, so that was nice.

Clean, large room, comfy beds. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Nice heating also. Big windows to let you enjoy the aurora (if you’re lucky enough). Excellent location in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, some attractions are within walking distance and others are a short drive away.

This is a hidden gem - I would come back to the Snafellsness peninsula just to stay in this hotel again. The view all around is breathtaking - you have it all - the glacier, the magnificent mountains and a waterfall, lava fields and the black rocky beaches hidden behind pink sand dunes. Do not miss the hike behind the hotel and do it before 10am to have a complete solitude from tourists. Restauarnt and bar are top notch.DaryaUnited States of America

It was their 25th wedding anniversary and they actually renewed their vows in the Black Church behind the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make their stay very special, even giving them a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival. Surrounded by water and mountains with a nice walk down to the beach, past the church if you want to. Amazing sunrise in the morning. Room was nice and spacious, the building is quite dated but it adds to the charm plus I could see they are doing renovations. Nice couches and cosy corners near the bar to cuddle up and read or chat over a glass of wine. Dinner was lovely and breakfast had a nice spread.

Our room was newly built - loved that we had a little sitting area with big screen TV and lots of amenities. Beautifully designed - everything from faucets to linens. When the blinds were closed it was the darkest of any room I stayed in while in Iceland. I slept very well, and didn't want to leave!
