Sligo itself was ok but to be honest we stayed because it was central to the area we wanted to explore. If you go to Sligo don’t miss Glencar Waterfall and the Devils Chimney. Also Achill island make sure you follow the coast

I judge a place by its people, and to me they make you feel very welcome. Myself &the Mrs go to Sligo Town, at least six times a year for 2/ 3 days at a time. Its home from home, great food , great bars, Trad music, and great to relax. Love Sligo

Beautiful scenery, friendly people and lots of interesting places to visit. Thomas Connolly Pub outstanding, live music and a great pint of the Black stuff. Eala Bhan restaurant outstanding, magnificent menu, superb staff, would travel to Sligo again just to eat there. We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste. The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting . The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.

Crazy golf on the hotel grounds was fun. A good kids indoor area also. Great location as local bus for Strandhill and Rosses Point stops outside hotel. About a 20 min walk into the town centre so nice to see a bit of Sligo. Staff and service excellent. Great breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend it for families.

The bathroom was great. A very nice shower with great water pressure and shampoo / body wash provided.
